My mom, my 6 yr old daughter and my son are arriving at MCO at 9 30 am on Sept 5. We are using ME. The plan is to get to the Poly, eat brunch, then hang out at the pool until 2 30, and then go to MK. We are only here one day pre cruise ( but have been before).

Help me plan which order we should do rides, get FP ext. I see the crowd predictor shows pretty low crowds, but I am sure we will still encounter crowds that late int he afternoon, right?

Just wanted to suggest foregoing the pool to maximize your time at MK. If you're anything like us on a cruise, you'll have lots of pool time then. Or at the least, reverse your plan and do the pool after MK if its not too late. Since it's so hot in September, I'd also guess the Poly pool will be pretty busy that time of the afternoon since a lot of people choose to take mid-day breaks and hit the pool around that time. Myself included.

We arrived at MK around 4pm on our arrival day and didn't get a lot done - only got through half of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, before we had to break for dinner and then line up for MSEP and Wishes. We don't have kids so we skipped a bunch of rides too. Saturdays are crowded at MK because people choose to start and end their trips there, and Saturdays are the busiest arrival and departure days.

Someone else can probably give tips on FPs. With the new FP return time enforcement, I think it would be hard to plan to use FPs when you are only there for a few hours. You'll be running back and forth a lot. But I haven't tried it yet myself.

My suggestion would be to purchase the touring plan service from the UOGTWDW. I believe it's touringplans.com. It's less the $15 and will give you the ability to customize your plan, including organizing the order of the rides, based on wait times, etc, plus the subscription is good for 1 calendar year. I always do my plan with them for each park before I leave and find it invaluable. It takes the guess work out of having to figure out what to do next. Why spend $$$ on Disney without a cheat sheet?

Considering you'll have plenty of pool time on the cruise, I would maximize your time at MK. Have FUN!!!
