Last year of the Osborne Lights?!

I believe this is the last year as they currently are because of all the work that will be done in Hollywood Studios.
It's just a gut feeling. I sure don't have any proof.

So I booked a long weekend trip so I can see the lights as they exist now for one last time.

I agree, I have a gut feeling that this is the last year too :(

Hmm...now I'm thinking I might have to scheme to get down there for one more quick visit to see them again

:scratchin

I join those that think this is the last year as we currently know it (in this location, with this name), but I don't see it going away entirely. I suspect it will resurface in a new spot.

I have a feeling that once the Osborne Lights are removed from DHS for demolition, they won't be seen again for a long time, if ever, ala Lights of Winter.

I couldn't see the studios willingly giving up the lights. My understanding it the contract with the Osbourne family is up, so this is the last year they will be called that. However, this is the BIG event for the studios. Epcot has flower & garden and food & wine; the Lights have been the "boost" for the studios.

Of course, with the changes going on there, who knows what's in store.

I don't see them going, either. If they are getting rid of Streets of America, as all signs are currently pointing to, I would not be shocked to see them moved to Hollywood or Sunset Blvd. I think Hollywood Blvd is the most likely and the lights will just all be on the second and third stories of the buildings so as to not keep people from being able to enter the stores.

I'm 100% certain that the Streets of America is being torn down as part of the rework. I'm NOT so certain that it means the end of the Osborne Lights - Especially with the frozen dessert party this year that goes along with it.

I think they could move it to another section of the park (possibly the main street?) or maybe reincorporate it into whatever the new design is.

Yep. In spite of previous rumors, I just don't see how this one could turn out to be wrong this time.

I imagine we'll see something similar happen somewhere else, but I have to think this is the last year they will exist in this form.
