Just read the Orlando Sentinel and it looks like this will be the last year for Osborne Family Lights

I was thinking it might be. That's why I'm going to stop over there and say goodbye to them on my December Disapalooza weekend trip.

We thought they were going to make this the last year also. Glad we went ahead and booked for this year. We are taking my in-laws and my mom so they can see the lights before they are gone.

So excited we just happened to book in November this year! Can't wait to see the Osborne Lights, but sad to see them go.

I am beyond sad about this. I love the OFSDL. :furious:
I really need someone to talk me down, I am seriously considering booking a December trip that I can't afford to see them one last time.
I hope they find a new home! How about Disney Springs?

I am.right there with you about considering booking a Dec trip. Contemplating checking out Uni/IOA and then getting a 1 day Disney pass so I can see the lights one last time. Truly one of my faves.

It is sad, just like when the lights of winter at Epcot stopped

I still cannot understand why this lovely display was removed. It was one of my favorite aspects of the Holiday experience.

I am so going to miss the dancing lights. I am the only one in my family who stays behind to enjoy them, but I am that one who loves lights!!!!!!! I have never taken a solo trip to DIsney, so the time I spend strolling through, looking for hidden Mickeys (the only place i do this, BTW), searching for the Purple Cat is really my solo trip. LOL I love

I was sad to hear this news. We have never been to WDW around the holidays and have always wanted to go. We had been thinking about booking a trip for the holiday season but wasn't sure if we should because we were just there in May. But hearing this made our decision...booked this weekend...heading back November 29th!

I'm totally bummed, too. But, I must have felt it in my bones or something, because we already have a trip planned for the week after Thanksgiving. Good thing I got park Hopper tickets -- I can see the lights a few times!

That's just super. We are going right after Thanksgiving this year and into early December. Since this is the last year for the lights, I bet crowds will be worse.

At least we will get a chance to see them.

Not necessarily. Not a lot of people can plan a trip with as little warning as we got on the Osborne Lights ending. (It's already less than 2 months until they open, and they close in less than 4.)

That's a good point.
