Hi all. Can someone explain to me how to get to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Ropedrop? We last visited in 2010 before new fantasyland.

So we go through the castle right? After we get through the castle what way do we veer? :confused3 Are there any markers to look for? Any help in getting to 7DMT at ropedrop along with the masses would be really appreciated!! The more detailed the better for the directionally challenged :rotfl2:

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

To get to 7DMT at RD the CM will lead that section of the pack into Tomorrowland then up and around the Tea Cups to get to the ride. Those heading for A&E will be lead into Fantasyland via the Castle. Do you know where Winnie the Pooh is? Or were 20,000LUTS used to be? 7DMT is directly across from Winnie in the area once home to 20,000.

I would not go through the castle. We were there first week of June and rode 7DMT at RD. (well after the ride was up and it was our turn, that is - but that's a different story)

We stayed to the right as you walk up Main Street from the train station toward the hub. After the path to Tommorrowland Terrace and after the path to Tommorrowland but before the castle, is a path to the Teacups - take that path to the teacups. At the teacups turn left toward Pooh - Pooh will be on your left and shortly after it's entrance on your left, you will see the entrance to 7DMT on your right. Unless you are at the front of everyone there may be a line forming already - look for a line along the fence across the walkway from Pooh. If you see a line along the fence, it is the standby line - get in it and then ask if you are in the correct line. I hope the line along the fence was there only because the ride was not yet up when we got in line. If the ride is running at RD and you are not at the back of the crowd, then I would expect to walk past Pooh and turn right into the line labelled StandBy. Have fun.

Thank you so much to both of you. This is just what I wanted!! DVCKidsMOM - how long was your wait at RD?

The new ride is near where Dumbo used to be. It is across from Pooh, on the spot that once housed the Winnie the Pooh Playground. I think that's what was there when last you went. Dumbo is now in a new location behind the tea cups, so maybe that's why it is confusing.

Truly, if you go at RD, the masses will also be headed that direction: the masses have always headed to Fantasyland at RD, the new ride, the super popular Ann and Elsa character greet is ALSO located in that area. A &E char greet is now located in the former Snow White pavilion.

So that's a good reason to avoid heading that way at RD - if you can ride the new ride using a FP.

I think generally you won't be allowed to go through the castle at RD, but have to take a pathway around it. The last time we were there, one of the castle pathways was blocked due to construction. I think both will now be open. Your best bet is probably to head back via the opening that's between Starlight Ray's (Purple "Y" on the official WDW map), what's now called the Cheshire Café (Pink "X" on the official WDW map) and the teacups. Past the food, before the teacups, go left. The mine will be in front of you, across from Pooh.

YES we were there too and made the mistake of lining up at the rope on the left. We were at the very front of the rope, but that was the wrong group to be in. We were surprised to see so many ahead of us when we got there. We lined up along the fence anyway and the CMs were saying it was not running. Nobody else was leaving so we stayed put (didn't want to relive the mistake of leaving TSMM at rope drop when it wasn't running). We had a 30 minute wait.
