Our teachers go back August 10th and the students go back August 12th. Yes, you read that right....AUGUST!!

Is that because of all the snow days? when do you get out for summer?

Kids go to June 9th, I work till June 10th.

I go back Aug 24th, kids go back Aug 26th.

That's a decent size break!

We used to get out mid May now this year it is June 3rd.

And next year it will be even later in June.

do you still start the same time in August?

...yikes, when do they get out?? [..that sounds like a jail sentence, doesn't it??]

But I'll bet you get out of school sometime in May or the first week in June.

FWIW...I go back on September 8th, but I don't get out until August 21st.

Is that year round school?

I am bummed and pretty ticked off right now.

With all the credit card companies pulling all their stuff lately. Last fall I had one credit card company close my account without any notice. I had no balance and hadn't used it for 6 months and one day! I had a $4,000 credit limit and it was a nice "emergency" cushion. When I called about it they said that they closed it because I hadn't used it in 6 months. They would not reopen it. Then about 2 months ago the same company changed the credit limit on DH's account from $4,000 to $300, which was the outstanding balance on his at the time. Still, it was just an emergency card but it's upsetting what that does to your credit score.

Well, this a.m. I was checking our accounts on-line and another company has lowered our credit limit by $2,000, down to the current outstanding balance (plus $200)!!! It's our DISNEY VISA!!! We've been paying that down so that we could put either part of a WDW trip on it this fall or if we don't go then A.J. and I might go on our Disney Cruise. We will have the money for the trip but if we put it on our Disney Visa we usually get credits and at least our Disney Rewards!

We had excellent credit scores but that's being screwed up because of these companies lowering limits so then it looks like we're sitting at the limit! We always pay on time and more than any minimun required! But just because we arent' maxed out to the limit they pull the rug out from under us!!!

Sorry - just had to vent.

We are having the same problem here too!

Chase has lowered the limit on my MIL by almost 10,000 down to her balance and she has had that card for 20 years!

Dh and I had a similar problem with our chase and my mother did too!!

It's very depressing you work hard, pay your bills on time an than that!!!

So we use billions in taxpayer dollars to bail out the banks and they turn around and stick it to the consumers

Exactly. Something is seriously screwed up here. The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poor. And the darn middle class is slipping into the poor category.

I just love how we are bailing out people who make in the upwards of 500,000 a year. Gee take a pay cut and you won't need so much bail out money.

I am so frustrated and upset with the way things are going right now.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and the prayers for my friend today. She actually did not have the biopsy today. I think there was some misunderstanding with the scheduling of that. But she did see the surgeon and it is scheduled for next Wednesday. So, I will be taking next Wednesday off to go with her. Her husband can't handle doctor's offices or hospitals and after his past history of fainting when he's gone with her she's opted for not having him go with her!!
