Spring Break has Arrived -The Kids are Happy anyways

LAST!!! Whew! I finished and mailed off my National Boards this week!!! I thought I'd never get back to this thread! I'm still exhausted and I'm going to take a nap!

Thanks! I've got to take the exam in June and then it's a waiting game until the end of November. I feel good about my work, but this process can be so subjective. I have to hope my particular assessors like my work.

He's had a very rough week. He is still in a lot of pain. He is out of work "indefinitely." I worked one full day and two half days this week. I took last Monday off just to be home with him because I didn't want him to be home alone yet. And I took Tuesday off to take him to a couple of doctor's appointments. (My boss has been really great.)

DH goes tomorrow for a nuclear stress test and hopefully that will rule out anything with the heart. Then he will be able to do a little more, as long as the pain is controlled.

Tuesday he goes for a scan of his gallbladder. They don't think this has anything to do with the gallbladder, however, they want to rule it out.

Then on Tuesday, the 14th, he's having an endospic procedure done at the hospital (as an out-patient) to take a look at his hiatal hernia. They're also looking for ulcers. This is the procedure that we're hoping will give us some answers!

Yesterday we went for a drive to the lake and that's the first time he's been out all week. He said it felt so nice to get out - but he was really worn out afterwards!

Glad he is doing better. I am sure he is stir crazy and with that S*** stuff coming its going to be awful! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers

Yup.

My mom is having a rough time that was her last sister. She was from a family of 12 and now there are 5 left, her the only girl and my grandma. This was especially rough because my aunt was never sick EVER and right after new years she complained about her knees and ended up having cancer EVERYWHERE. nothing they could do, so they sent her home to be comfortable. And there my mom sat with her day and night my 20 year old cousin has done an awesome job of being a full time provider for my aunts needs. She passed quitely with all of her children and husband by her side last night.

She will be missed not only by her family but by many others.

I'm so sorry Pam. She is lucky to have such a wonderful daughter to have taken care of her for these past months! I will be keeping you and her family in my thoughts and prayers!

Our kids get out June 5th....at least, as of right now. Don't know what they'll do if they're out for snow this week. Graduation has already been set and they usually don't do make up days after they set the graduation date.

They go back early, though. Around August 8th!

DH has his stress test today. He asked me to take him so I know he doesn't feel good because he never wants me to take him to stuff like that! He said he doesn't feel like he can drive. Please keep him in your prayers (again) today!
