It is a good thing (for him at least) that you double-checked. You probably would have killed him if you actually went there and found out it wasn't until 1:40!

we almost got a new cat yesterday.

but the shelter's application was pretty intense.

name/age/sex,etc
whether you owned/rented/etc
who your vet was
when was the last time your other animal went to the vet
how much you spent on your other animals last year
if they could do a house visit
and tons and tons of stuff.

dh finally said.. forget it! It was like getting a mortgage or something!
