So I just got home from the dentist, Walgreen's, and a quick stop at the art store so my dad could get something for his architecture class.
It turns out that the problem with my tooth isn't just an abscess. The infection has gone all the way down to the bone, so the entire tooth needs to be extracted. After that, I have to have some serious work done on the surrounding teeth to make sure I don't lose them as well. I need to have oral surgery for it and will call the referral place tomorrow to set up my appointment. I didn't have any money to pay for my copay or my antibiotics, so thank god my dad was willing to help me. I think it's because when I called him, I was sobbing because of the pain. He was out in Morton Grove (western suburb) looking for work when I called him. I probably won't be going to work tonight unless my boss can't find a replacement. I called him about an hour ago. I only got two hours of sleep because of the pain.I have no idea how much this is going to cost, but I told the dentist that the whole reason I hadn't been to the dentist in the last four years was because I didn't have dental insurance. So we'll see how much this costs.
On the bright side, though, my DME stuff came in the mail today!
