And in the past three months we've made trips all over looking at different boats until we finally found one in Hickory NC that DH and I both liked - with no compromises!
The only thing that kept us from purchasing that one was the color. But at least we now knew what we wanted.
And then we found out that they're not very easy to find!
I found one on the internet at a marina in Bean Station, TN on Lake Cherokee. That's when we decided to make a short vacation trip to Gatlinburg with a side trip to see the boat. We made these plans about 2 weeks in advance and waited. The marina didn't have a picture of the boat, just the description.
Well, while we were waiting we did some more discussing. - Do all couples do this - we ponder on everything!

Anyway, we decided that now was not the time to get a boat.

So, we went on our Gatlinburg trip anyway.
On the way over to Gatlinburg DH and I started talking - again. I thought we should go take a look at it anyway - there were two ways to look at this since we hadn't seen a picture of it. If we saw it we would be able to say, no this isn't what we wanted so we made the right decision. Or we would be able to say, wow, this is it. Now what do we do!
So we went to look at it - and it ended up being choice #2 - WOW, this is it! It was exactly what we were looking for.
And since we had waited until later in the season - or actually almost the end of the season - we got a fantastic deal on it. (Well, that and the fact that the economy is so topsy-turvy right now that only idiots are buying boats and they're not selling many!
