well I was gone all weekend and came home to a printed note from the boys.

dh had written a letter on the computer and each kid got a little paragraph that they dictated to dh.

oh well, at least they put it where I could find it!

Sounds like they all put their hearts into it!

I try not to expect too much from those holidays. That way I am not disappointed when things don't pan out the way I think they should.

That's the way I try to look at it, expecially Mother's Day. We went through about five years in a row when DD still lived at home that she would manage to do something to screw up Mother's Day for me! So I quit looking forward to it!

We had a B-day party to go to yesterday and on my b-day will be coming home from Delray Beach. My nephews graduations from High School. Nothing special will be done.

Just another day.

Sorry - but I had to laugh at this part of your post! DD called me at 12:15 a.m. Mother's Day morning. (YES, that's A.M.!!!) She was surprised when I answered - she said she was expecting to just get my voice mail. She said she wanted to be the first to wish me a Happy Mother's Day! And she was past the point of being a "wee bit" intoxicated!

He was a more than a wee bit too-and all his Navy Buddies were yelling Happy Mothers Day-We love You! in the background-so they were all feeling pretty good

mind you this was in the middle of my sleeping time Sunday and DS wanted to keep talking and talking-about 40min later I finally got to go back to sleep
