Skiingfast is slowing down. In the 2 months of being on the othr thread it went through 5 and now its on the 6th. I never seen such fast movement in pages. People were trying to keep up

It's school holidays so I told my friend that I would see her after the holidays were over. Turns out I could have met her today. DS stayed over at my mother's last night. I have a massage to go to in about 30 minutes.

How are the kids? How was the performance?

The performance kicked As*. However it was a logistical nightmare. People didn't believe us when we said parking would be horrendous at best. Those who listened found parking within decent ranges. We parked as many people at our house as we could (we rode our scooters down and had a car parked there two days before). But the Swing Band evidently stole the show. I'll psot some links once I get the clips downloaded from the camera and up on Youtube.

Fran is going to kill me next week moving stuff so I'm ready to die from moving stuff in the next few days.

I just wish I could stop feeling like Eeyore.

I know exactly what you mean. Fran feels like this most of the time.

I wouldn't know, my dad took the remote away and is trying to find something else even though the Wii, Netflix, and Internet subscriptions are MINE.

On another note, you know how we were planning for 2013 to meet at the World?

How does June/July sound to you and Alison?

I know it's the peak of summer but two of the other gamers (bobbiwoz and kitty 34) are keen to do a dismeet next year. I think I've persuaded them to think about 2013; but kitty 34 can only do the summer months....

There is no way I could convince Fran to go to Florida in July. MAYBE the first week in June, but doubtful, do you know how hot it is in Florida at that time?

However, I would love to meet up with bobbiwoz at some point. But we really don't want to be there much later than May, it's just too icky. Much like Dana is describing now in Chicago.

This has been a personal case for me. Difficult to explain, they need more rules for jurors. I cant even get called. I think the last time I got called was about 8 yrs ago

I'll trade you. Fill in for me next time I get called. I've not yet had to serve, but I can't get out of it. If they called me for Long Beach I might do it, as long as it wasn't too long, but the last time they wanted me to go to Compton! Should I just hang a sign around my neck, "white girl", I'm not being racist, but I'm just sayin. I don't think it's safe in some parts of LA when you are not of the right ethnicity.

Well if anyone would help finish up that old thread, I would be here all the time.

School holidays in Melbourne for 2013 run from 28 June to 15th July. DS will be in Year 7 in 2013; which is the start of high school. We're probably going to be able to shift it one week earlier than the 28th but not much more than that.

Kitty, Bobbi and I have joked about starting a gamers dismeet thread for 2013 on the games board. I might just do that this weekend and see where we end up.

My other school break options are

• 28 March to 15 April; but I suspect that will be bedlam at the World as it will probably cover Easter.
• 20 Sept to 7 October is the autumn break.

I'll float these dates with Kitty and Bobbi and see where we land. My preference would be the September timetable....I think it is F&W; not sure when the Halloween decorations would go up.

Not the world's greatest cop show but I love the fact it is filmed in Chicago streets etc.
