Gisele! Muchos tiempo sin verte!

Yes, aside from a little sickness, my household is doing pretty well.....sick maybe, boring yes.....but we're all doing well.

What about you? I was :sad1: to read that you still hadn't gotten a job?

Happy dreaming to those already in bed...
Hope you're doing a bit better PIO even if you are still dealing with other sick people.

Sorry you're out of work Gisele. :( Tough world out there at the moment.

It's a pity the job you'll hopefully get is part time...but it's still definitely a good thing. Fingers still crossed! I soooo hate the waiting!

So tired....
Had a decent amount of sleep last night but it obviously hasn't made up for the previous 2 rough nights. Oh well...

Thank you I appreciate it. My last not quite full time job, I was fired because I tried to assist a woman at a housing complex that I had been working at. That is one of the reasons why I hate working as a security guard. There is no security in security, unless you are union, then maybe. California really needs to revamp it's security industry.

So why haven't you joined a union? And why weren't you allowed to help the woman?

I am sorry that you and your family are not feeling well. I can relate to that and being bored out of my mind! I wish I could have stayed at DL much longer last month. The only way that was going to happen was if either I fell over a pile of money, or
actually..............wait for it........... got a job!

I could go for the stumbling over a pile of money instead! :rotfl:

It's almost twilight zone time. I'll probably log off and jump back on in 30 mintues.

If you're still around, catch you then. If not, have a great night and I hope to see you stopping by here again in the future.

Almost none of the companies in Northern Ca are union, nor will they allow you to join, without firing you first. Even though that is suppose to be illegal.

About the female resident, what it comes down to was that she was not comfortable with going into her own home, because her x b/f threatened that he would be there. I had her permission to go into her home to see if he was there, but apparently I should not have done that. Then to add to the situation, she wanted him out, but did not want to involve the cops. So.......... I asked her if she wanted me to get him out. Yes she did. So I tried to do just that. Only verbally of course, but no matter. It as well as some other elements was used against me by the company. Nothing was said to me the next day, but the day after.....
I don't regret my actions, because I was trying to be of help. The company saw me as being nothing more than a possible liability. Thats just so precious.

OK sounds good. On another note, have you visited Uluru or Alice Springs?

I haven't spent any time at Alice but I have been to Uluru.

We had 3 nights there. We saw Uluru at sunrise and at sunset. We also decided not to climb up the rock because the Aboriginal people did not like people climbing up...Instead, we did a 3 hour walk around the base of Uluru with the Aboriginal people and they showed us how they scavenge for food and how they hunt with their spears and the boomerang.

We also took a day trip out to King's Canyon and walked there. Loved this day trip. You start out at 4 am in the morning and by the time you get to King's Canyon, it is about 9 am. HOT! HOT! HOT! Even at that early hour...but bearable for a 4 hour hike. We leave at about 2 pm and get back to Uluru at about 6 or 7 pm.

The best part of our trip to Uluru were the Olgas. We decided that we wanted to do the long walk and we got there at about 6 am in the morning. The long walk is 4 or 5 hours; and because we were there so early, there was hardly anyone else around. We got the Olgas to ourselves and saw kangaroo and goanna out and about. We even came across a snake that slithered away real fast.

Are you thinking of going?

I've been to Alice Springs, Ayers Rock (Uluru), Kakudu, Olgas, Devils Marbles etc....

I was this old... ;) and yep that's a Disney shirt (not from a Disney store or park as we hadn't been there yet...but...well...I loved Disney)

Anyway...I've been to most of Australia and I did partially climb the rock. I was the only one interested in going to the top so we didn't, but we went to the bottom of the chain which leads you to the top.

If you're interested in an area like that I'd also research WA - the bungle bungles in WA are AMAZING.

And Kimmar.....more bacon for you!
