My heart goes out to Kimmar. I don't know the history of her MIL's illness but I lost my Gran in January. We'd lost her to Dementia about 18months earlier, but her quality of life was still pretty good with her living in her own world. In the end though, which did come quickly, she was in pain and no heroic measures were taken.
