Last, for a while. By which I mean the last post from me for a while.

Ahhhhhhhhh! I just pulled a Kimmar! I had typed a long post about how Fran decided she didn't want to go to All You Can Meat because we have been eating too much all week and that it was too far, she wants to sleep some, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I had it all ready to go, hit submit and my 24 internet session expired while I was typing it, so I had to log back in and POOF! my post was gone. Next hotel I'm not going to bother to use their internet and just get out the aircard when we get there!

Instead now we are going to a pricey restaurant about 3-4 blocks from our hotel. Since I can't have all the meat I want, I'll order the lobster or the ribeye, but definitely the souffle! http://www.dccoast.com/

She's dead asleep now, but hopefully I have another hour or so to work on some more of my TR!

I knew that's why she had not been even posting snarky comments on her TR. I think she is done with the Land of the Last, but when she didn't post on the Old Fogies thread or her TR and I knew that her MIL had all those problems around Christmas, I knew it was a matter of time. Having been through my MIL and FIL and their drama, it's easy to see from the sidelines what is eventually coming. Unfortunate but true.

Very sad, but I'm sure her MIL was in a lot of pain and not having a good quality of life. That's one thing that is the most difficult for the survivors to balance is how long to keep them going. Personally, If I'm going to be confined to my bed for the rest of my life, never even being able to get up to use the toilet even with assistance and being fed by someone else, let me go before I get there! Pull the plug before I rehabilitate to that point.

If my life expectancy is to rot in a bed in a SNF, don't recusitate me! I want to be able to live with my kitties and care for them, unless I can be with my kitties, I don't want to be around. I know Fran will probably go before me (age sort of dictates that), but if I can't have her or my kitties, life isn't worth living. We travel with her Medical Power of Attorney, but I need to get one of those for me as well. Ugh I hate when reality hits you!

Believe me, I understand and whole-heartedly agree. I wouldn't want to live out the rest of my life that way either.
