Last time you seen someone

2 years ago in December. I met Meriweather who posts a lot on the Exchange Boards. We have PMed back and forth for several years. We got to meet face to face at WDW.

This past Tuesday. I have a local friend that I met originally on the DIS. We got together and watched "Escape from Tomorrow" this week. Bizarre movie, but we had fun watching it. We get together every couple of weeks.

Before that and not counting anyone who lives near me, September. I spent some time at WDW with some of my DIS friends from Massachusetts and Ohio.

We have a small DIS meet coming up next Saturday here locally.

I met a bunch of DIS people down at WDW back in December 2003 at a dinner meet at the Crystal Palace. After that, Webmaster Kathy and I started having some local DIS meets here in TX. We've had them on and off for years.

Some of my best friends are people who live in MA and Ohio that I met on the DIS back in 2003/2004. We've met up countless times at WDW, I've been to some of their houses in MA and Ohio, they've been to mine, etc. The DIS has just been a really good place for me to make friends who share the passion for Disney that I have. I do great mingling and meeting people if we have a common interest (like Disney). But put me in a room full of people that I have nothing known in common with, and I'm quite bashful.

One of my local friends I actually met at my old job. She brought her kids into the doctors office I was working in, and one of them had on a WDW shirt. So I struck up a conversation, and we've been friends ever since.

It was so nice to meet you too..............hopefully again one day.

I have met a lot of DIS members over the years.
Last one was mid Sept. when I met PrincessInOz and her family in Phoenix for lunch.

I haven't yet, but I will be there the week of thanksgiving and I will have my lime green Mickey on my backpack! Please say hello if you see me!!:goodvibes

Saturday!

At WDW.

I met my best "Internet" friend.

I loved spending the day with her and wish we lived closer.

Never. I do know there is someone here that lives in my city but I would have no desire to get together to hang out. That makes me sound antisocial LOL

Two weeks ago. But, I'm pretty sure you didn't mean my sister.
And she's more of a lurker anyway.... :lmao:

Prior to that, during our 2010 trip, I spoke with a nice women on a scooter at the Pop Century gift shop while my son was looking to trade pins. He didn't make a trade and she headed out of the store. After she was gone, my husband asked me if I knew her from the Dis. Apparently, she had a lime green Dis sign on the backrest of her scooter. I hadn't even seen it. :crazy2: Bummer. Missed opportunity. :rolleyes2

Never, as far as I know, but apparently clarkshel lives here in town. I could be sitting next to him (at Tim Hortons) right now and not even know it...:rotfl:

I haven't but there is a thread for the cruise we're going on next year so hopefully we can have a cruise meet!!

Where do you get these lime green Mickey's? I'll have to keep an eye out for them next time I'm at WDW or on the cruise next year.

In response to the topic, I have no idea. Probably never. There is at least one other DISer who lives in Austin, but it's a big town and why would we get together anyhow?

The only way to get lime green Mickey heads now is to make them yourself. Take a tip: You can't print them off, even with all the color information on the "Alien Green" color. When you print the color on paper, it comes out a rather dull, nasty green -- none of the luminescence of the real color samples that aren't available any more. (And I'd be delighted if anyone can tell me a way to get the real color!)

We found some green duct tape that was very close to the right color, and cut out Mickey heads that we've used to mark our luggage. Makes 'em distinctive.
