This time next week we will be at Norris Lake in TN! I don't know if I had posted about going or not. My friend's birthday is on the 30th and for her birthday she wanted to go to a lake for a weekend. She found a house to rent on Norris Lake and they (her and her husband) invited us to go along. It's a five bedroom house, not directly on the lake but right across the street with lake access. They're going Friday and coming back Sunday but we can only work our schedule out for Saturday and Sunday. So we'll drive over early Saturday morning and come back late Sunday. (And then I have to go back to work on Monday!) It's about 4 hours from here.

We have been busy painting today. Than I went to a candle party at the neighbors house. Now I am stilling on the backporch and DH is grilling out. It has been so beautiful here today.

What kind of candles were they at the party? Did you buy any?

So, what are we grilling?? We grilled out last night (just hot dogs and sausages) and had our first picnic of the season. We ate out on the deck.

Does anyone have a Firefly or other type of cel phone for their kid(s)? I was looking into getting something for DS. I am trying to sign him up for a summer thing and wanted to get a prepaid phone for him...any ideas/comments? thanks.

Sorry I can't be too much help Lyn. Have you seen the Disney phones advertised? I've see them and have thought that they look neat. They have about five numbers programed and that's all they can use it for. Good luck.

2nd Kayla I'm so glad to have you back!!! I missed you so much around here!!!


3rd Lyn, stinky had a firefly phone, and it worked good for us untill she overcharged it and killed it the minutes lasted and I liked that she couldn't dial anyones number (in case she lost it and someone found it) and she could only get calls from people in the phone book, so no strange people calling her but know that she's older she has a reg, cell phone, but she can only answer it when she's not in school and only if she knows who's calling

It was a Partylite Party. Partylite Candles. And yes I bought some. More than I wanted to that is for sure. But I bought a snuffer and that was $15.00.

We grilled Steak and Chicken Kabobs.

And it so beatiful this weekend.

I am getting ready to take DD to a Bowling B-day for a little friend.

We looked into it and seemed like a good deal. But we changed our phone plan and just decided to get DD a regular phone and her and I share the minutes. It seems more cost effective for us. That way the calls that we make to each other are free of charge and don't count against our minutes. Her Grandpa also has Verizon so she can call him anytime she wants also and it doesn't cost. She has been very responsible with it and I am very proud of her. She know she is not allow to answer any call is not already in her contact list. So far so good. She has had it since January.

Oh yeah, One more thought for Lyn. The Firefly would be cool because when your DS outgrew the phone you could use it for DD. We were at a point were DD would have outgrown it real soon and we would just be stuck with a phone we couldn't use.

Those firefly phones do sound good. I went to the site and checked them out, too. Matthew's ready for a regular phone but I know soon that A.J. will be wanting a phone and I don't want him to have a regular one. When he's ready we'll look into firefly.
