yep wow, you are a cleaning machine today!!!! I have been *trying* to keep up with the house after the kids are in bed.... in my mind I tell myself it will leave less to do on the weekends, but in actuality it seems to grow and multiple until there is always something that needs to be cleaned, washed, picked up or put away

The day before Easter I made everyone clean the downstairs...including DH. And boy did we clean. Now I have been trying really hard to stay on top of it all and make them pick up after themselves so there is less to do on the weekends. It's working great so far...but of course I'm home every day. We'll see what happens when I go back to work.

I'm starting on the upstairs now. It needs a lot of work! UGH!

Our house is always a work in progess....but now that the kids are older we are starting to win . I almost have the inside of the house where I want it...the garage sale really helped to declutter and I gave away a bunch of stuff to our friends that just adopted twins, boy and a girl I still have more I could declutter in our closets and I need to organize the pantry. We are working on the outside of our house now. We are now up to 49 chickens and hopefully this week I will get 4 more goats...plus all the little trees and vegetables/fruits we planted recently. It will be really nice once they grow tall. in the meantime I have to visuallize how it will be.

Then we let them roam during the day and housed them at night but I really started getting tired of chicken p*** on my front porch and deck. They loved to roam but when they got tired of roaming they would gather on the porch and even sit on the patio furniture.

We used to raise birds, so we do have a bunch of large pens on our property...and here the weather is nice all year, we so have them in there. We can't let them out around the house because of the dogs and other wild animals..and our plants. At first, before Christmas we got 4 hens since I bake a lot (for the eggs). Then soon it was 12 hens total. Then, in March the only egg farm here was closing so we got 12 more. We have so much eggs, but we have lots of family and friends to share with Well, I feed my in-laws on the weekends I bake a lot, which sometimes includes DFil's friends....so then one of the guys started catching the chickens at his place. In the past week we got a mama hen with 14 of the cutest chicks in the world, then this Sunday got another hen with 8 friendly, older chicks and yesterday a rooster. DH keeps saying it is enough we love it though...and my nieces and nephews love coming over...it is a real egg hunt here We even are starting to have friends that bring their kids over to look for eggs...sort of like how you can pick-you-own fruit

No mongoose problem around here! They tend to stay away from the cold mountains!

I am last but this is probably the last post that I will have as last because I think it's time for me to head to bed even though I'd like to stay here and be last all night long but I guess that this chance at being last will have to do since I can't be last to post if someone else is here later than me because then they'll post and when they post it will make them the last to post and not me, therefore, that means that I would no longer be the last to post even though I really would like to be the last to post for a while but it seems like someone else always comes along and takes last place away from those of us that try so hard to keep last place and not share last place with others that want to have last place and hold last place so I guess what I'm trying to say it that at least for the moment I get to savor being last but I sure that someone else will come along and post last and steal my thunder away from me thereby taking last place away from me even though I have worked so hard to get to be last and retain last place tonight since the last to post thread has been pretty slow tonight and it has only been Lyn and I trying for the crown of last to post and we have both gotten to share the crown but I'm sure that someone else will want their chance at the crown and will come along and post last after I post last and after Lyn has posted last and then that person will get to say that they're the last instead of Lyn being last or me being last but then we will keep trying because that's the name of this thread, Last One To Post, and anyone who is familiar with the last to post thread knows that everyone on here tries to be last and we all just keep going and going and going and going....
