Hey Kim ~ If you're here in the a.m. and you're reading back I just wanted you to know that I've got my CPAP machine all ready to go with the new mask. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went!

You are a very good girl!!!! I hope and pray that it went well!!!

I'm Home early from work-I got some bad news from home in WI right before I left for work-My only Uncle has had a major stroke and is not doing good at all:sad2:

He had a mini stroke last week and felt good enough to return to work this week-His 1st day back at work and he had a major stroke there and is now on a breathing machine and not expected to recover:sad1:

My cousin is just waiting for her brother and sister to get into town before they make the decision to turn off the machine:guilty:

I mean I know he was older(75) but he kayaked and went on bike rides across the state-he was always making the most of his time off-very active

so this was very unexpected!! and very sad-He was my only Uncle here in the US-since my parents and him all immigrated here together in the late 1950's

So it looks like I will be heading up to WI this weekend-I'm still praying for a miracle recovery-but being a nurse I know the odds are not in his favor:guilty:

anyways.... I have to go check for a flight and my schedule and see what I can work out-such a bummer!!!

Hmmm I don't think I'll be able to go:sad2: -flights are horrendous-but we'll see I really would like to go -it's just bad timing since where buying this house soon-that is if we get an accepted offer(hope to hear back from the sellers today)

-I still have to call and see what kind of a discount they offer for breavement flights-I sure would like to pay my respects to a Great Uncle!!!

I guess me and my Oldest DS could drive up there-that way we might be able to afford it better-but what a long drive!!!!

Ughhh I hate this kind of situations-I feel I need to go and be there-yet we really can't afford for me to go right now either-I hate this!!!!:headache:

so I'm just going to have to wait and see how everything plays out-no sense in worrying about it now-I just wish I could stop worrying-DH is so good at staying calm thru times like these-and I just stress away!!!:guilty:

so thanks for letting me clear my mind before I try and get an hours sleep before the kids get up-Talk to all later :wave2:

I made it through the night. I did take two tylenol pm last night, too, to try to help me sleep through the night even with the mask on. i woke up once and was very uncomfortable and had to readjust the mask and I think the tylenol pm is the only reason I was able to get back to sleep.

We'll see if there's any difference in the way I feel today.

And now, on top of everything else I woke up again this morning with a gout flare-up. :sad2: At least I already have a doctor's appointment scheduled for today.

Kim, I'm so sorry. I will be keeping him and your family in my prayers! :grouphug:

Still kayaking at 75! Wow! I don't even do that at 45 (and probably couldn't)! How sad.

Wish I could do or say something to help out Kim. Just know I'm here for you in spirit and if you need a "virtual" hug!

Good Morning

Kim  sorry to hear about your uncle

Kathy OUCH I know how much gout hurts

Hope you get a little sleep Kim.

So your a mystery shopper now

that sounds fun

I wish I could get a mystery shop for a restaurant and get a free dinner out of it. No, not me, I end up with a bank. Boring! And they don't give out free samples! :lmao:

It's a couple of extra dollars - which helps since I haven't had a pay check in about 6 weeks!

:lmao: sorry about the bank but your right at least it was a little money

could you imagine the free samples there

how about 50's or 100's:rotfl:
