I got a good report from the doctor.

I was a little disappointed, though, because I was hoping that maybe I could have the lithotripsy done to get rid of my other kidney stone before the end of April, before I go back to work. He said no, that my body's still to weak to do it unless it was an emergency. So, I'll probably have it done in the beginning of June. I just want to make sure that I get it done before the end of June because our new insurance deductible starts over on July 1st. (The lithotripsy runs around $10,000!)

Good morning!

Okay - what's going on here. I think this is a new record. I've been last since around lunchtime yesterday.

I like being last but it's also nice to talk to someone now and then.

Morning Kathy

Good Morning Kayla! So nice to see someone around here!

good news about the Pneumonia

:thumbsup2

sorry about no disablility

Thanks! I've said from the beginning I wouldn't get it. All I've ever heard from anyone is how you have to jump through hoops to be able to actually get it. So I haven't been counting on it. We'll make do!

and having to wait to June but by than you should be stronger

No, just until May 1st. Every day I get a little stronger. I hope to be back to 100% at least a week before I have to go back to work so I can have a normal week at home and really get some stuff done in the house!

And I'm thankful to have the extra time off, even if I'm not getting any pay.

Now I am here talking to myself

I'm still here!

hope you all have a nice easter

You too Kayla!

We've had lots of those around here. That and we've had lots of holidays where it looks like our schedules are going to work out perfectly and then DH gets called into work. But it always seem to work out and we work around the schedule problems. Just make the best of what you have to deal with!

just got a funny email

i am going to post here

but first I want to pre apologize to any men who may read it:teeth:

One of my goals for getting better was that I wanted to be able to fix our usual (big) Easter dinner tomorrow (with a little help). We've invited our friends and their son over. I changed a few of the traditional items that we have to some others that I can make ahead.

The menu includes:

Ham
Roast Beef
Coleslaw
Mashed Potatoes
Candied Sweet Potatoes (being brought by my friend)
Asparagus with Honey Mustard
Scalloped Veggies
Creamed Spinach
Baby Corn
Green Bean Casserole (a last minute addition at the request of our friend's son )
Surprise Dessert (being brought by my friend)
Apple Pie
Carrot Cake

How's it sound???

The Mommy Test
I was out walking with my 4-year-old daughter. She picked up something off
the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away
from her and I asked her not to do that.
"Why?"my daughter asked.

"Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's
dirty and probably has germs" I replied. At this point, my daughter
looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know
all this stuff? You are so smart."

I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy
Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy."
We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new
information.

"OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So. if you don't pass the test, you have
to be the daddy."

"Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Too funny! This is great Kayla.

In DH's defense - he learned a lot of this stuff while I was sick. It's amazing what a person can do (or learn to do) when they really have to. :rotfl: He's totally mastered #2, #3, #5and #14. (We have an ice maker so #1 doesn't count! ;) ) He's never going to master #9 - he even got lost coming up to VA to get me from the hospital and, of course, there was another man with him. They just kept driving around until they found the hospital...they knew it was around there somewhere. ("There" being two different cities! :lmao: )

And as far as #8 - he brought me flowers about two weeks ago just 'cause!

well maybe someday

DH started making noises again about moving south in 08:thumbsup2

I know it would be hard to be away from your family but if you're not really happy where you are then there are so many places you can go! It's so pretty here! We love it.

I am not getting my hopes up to much
cause giving up the retirement at his job will be hard

but we will see what next year brings........

Well, you could always start dreaming about where you want to retire! ;) Instead of moving while you're both still working.
