that sucks Kathy! I hate when people have that attitude! So they want you to be in this pain till they can fit you in and he wouldn't even give you the shot? crazyness!! I would think they would give you the shot since it will be so long till the EMG

I get the feeling that if he gave me the shot it may have cleared up, even if only temporarily, then I might not need the EMG, at least for a while, and I may not go back to him for a while.

Kim - if you read back you may have another take on this that I'm missing here!

I feel a LOT better, but I've still got a cough and my voice still sounds really bad, but I feel so much better

Tracy We definately have the same cold-my cough wont go away and my voice is hoarse and scratchy,but I feel better-Hope we both get over this soon

Kathy-So Sorry to hear about the Doctor visit-Too bad you got a bad apple-Don't feel too bad,but most Neurologist are total idiots like him-they have bad superiority complexes going on!!!! Sorry you had to experience that

Find another specialist if you can that specializes in hand pain/carpel tunnel-and do you wear wrist guards/braces now??? I had really bad wrist pain when I was in my 20's and that was what helped the most-I found out that when I slept that I curled up my wrist under my body and wearing the braces helped break my habit of bending them so severely- I hope the steroids continue to help!!!

Very likely. My DW was diagnosed with mild carpal, and all they did was give her a brace, which interferes with her ability to type. So why bother then?

I would get a second doctor that at least seems to care about their patients. This one certainly doesn't sound like a good catch.
