Hey everyone........

The Amazing Race party was a lot of fun. It was 7 boys ages 10-12. moms were recruited to be taxi drivers, and clue hander-outers.

The clues led them to local places, parks, libraries, etc.

The first clue led them to our local park of roses where each team found a bag of newspaper. The clue then told them to "make the paper into boxes"

They then had deposit the paper into the recycling bins that were at the park.

Once they recycled the papers, they got the next clue. that led them to a park. I don't know for sure what happened at the park, since I didn't give out that clue.

from there they were told to go to find three books,. they had to go to the library and each team member had to check out a book.

from there they had to go back to the park and a clue was hidden on a series of slides. then they had to play a game of tic tac toe against myself at the tic tac toe board at the park. That led them to a local grocery store.

they were given a new clue that had a list of groceries they had to purchase. once they purchased all the groceries they had to bring them to a local food pantry. once they delievered their items the next clue said "thanks for your generosity. head to wendy's and you are being rewarded with a frosty."

All teams then headed to Wendy's and once they got their frosty's they were given two puzzles to complete. once they completed their puzzles, frosty's and cleaned up they were given their next clue.

it told them to go to a local gas station and use a pay phone to call xxx-xxxx. they had to call and ask how much a large pizza cost. That part was real funny!! None of the kids knew how to use a payphone!!

They were calling the birthday boy's grandma's house and she said the pizza was free and to now go to the local pool. first team to arrive won 1st place!

I wish I could have been a taxi driver to be more in the action, but it was great fun anyway.
