They made my DW wait 4 weeks after surgery to start her chemo.

Joe - I didn't realize your wife had Cancer.

They had originally told her two weeks so I think they were very excited to get it started and over with. Than found out it would be another couple of weeks with upset them.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago this October. She finished up all her treatments the following April and it has clear since then.

Glad that she is clear of it now!!!

I have a friend who is coming up on 10 years of being cancer free!! She also had breast cancer!

we're back from the Dr.

he is still the same as yesterday. So we are going to alternate the tylenol and motrin every 3 hours now (like you said Kayla) and he put him on a different antibiotic. He said that if he may have us double up and take both antibiotics if he doesn't start looking better.

we're going back on Monday for another follow-up. Sounds like we may be back there everyday for awhile.

Good news, his oxygen level was at 94 and his breathing reps were 40! Great news reallly!! Now if we could only get that stinky fever down.

ok, here's an update on Grif.

took him to the dr yesterday for a follow-up visit.

his pulse-ox (level of oxygen in your blood) is high 80's. You of course want it to be 100, but at least low 90's. Temp still 101, even with taking motrin about 3 hours previous.

he sends us back to the children's hospital for more tests. Praise the Lord it's just he outpatient part. They do more chest xrays and blood tests. He said he wanted to check to see if there was fluid building up in his lungs and that is why he's not getting better.

It was so stressful again b/c his apt was at 1:20, the kids had early release at 2:30, and the school's phones were broken. I told him that I needed to get the kids and he said "well do that quickly and get the tests done ASAP and then come right back here". so I had to rush to the school to pick the kids up b/c they couldn't go home to an empty house, then rush over to do the tests....with two extra kids. (Travis chose to go with a friend instead of us).

after the tests we went back to his office and he checked it all out. everything looked the same as the day before so he still can't figure out why his fever is still so high. He's been over 100 for a week now. Anyway....he tells us to go home and start giving him breathing treatments eventhough he's not wheezing or anything. That if it helps 10th of a % it's better than nothing.

We're going back again this morning for another follow-up. Please continue to pray for this little guy, I am so nervous and scared.

Thanks for listening and I must go get us both ready to go to the dr.

Have a great day and many prayers for everyone!!
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I hope he is better now...I am going to keep reading :guilty:

:grouphug: How does he "feel" though, Liz. Is he really miserable or is he still up and about?

well when the medicine kicks in he feels pretty good. then it starts to wear off and he just drops!

It's like he's a little zombie...that is why we're going to start with both tylenol and motrin now.
