ok, here's an update on Grif.
took him to the dr yesterday for a follow-up visit.
his pulse-ox (level of oxygen in your blood) is high 80's. You of course want it to be 100, but at least low 90's. Temp still 101, even with taking motrin about 3 hours previous.
he sends us back to the children's hospital for more tests. Praise the Lord it's just he outpatient part. They do more chest xrays and blood tests. He said he wanted to check to see if there was fluid building up in his lungs and that is why he's not getting better.
It was so stressful again b/c his apt was at 1:20, the kids had early release at 2:30, and the school's phones were broken. I told him that I needed to get the kids and he said "well do that quickly and get the tests done ASAP and then come right back here". so I had to rush to the school to pick the kids up b/c they couldn't go home to an empty house, then rush over to do the tests....with two extra kids. (Travis chose to go with a friend instead of us).
after the tests we went back to his office and he checked it all out. everything looked the same as the day before so he still can't figure out why his fever is still so high. He's been over 100 for a week now. Anyway....he tells us to go home and start giving him breathing treatments eventhough he's not wheezing or anything. That if it helps 10th of a % it's better than nothing.
We're going back again this morning for another follow-up. Please continue to pray for this little guy, I am so nervous and scared.
Thanks for listening and I must go get us both ready to go to the dr.
Have a great day and many prayers for everyone!!
