I've been reading back and now I have tears in my eyes. there has been so much loss and sadness these past few days. :sad1:

It has been a rough couple of days, that's for sure! :sad1:

If anyone is interested in the story of the three girls I told you about this morning here is the newspaper article and a news clip:

It was a very sad day for our entire community. I had to pass the apartment on the way to work. :sad2: The girls were in kindergarten, first grade and second grade, all in the same school.

Very sad :guilty:

OK-crying has stopped-It was really a bad day for her-it was like the surgeon just for the 1st time looked at her CT results and said-Oh by the way we can't do the surgery-it's spread way too much :guilty:

I guess they were all planned to go-they put an IV in After 3 bad attempts-then gave her an epidural-after three failed attempts and then an Arterial IV-it's a deep iv into the Artery to measures Blood pressure-They usually do this while your out(unconscious) since it's painful-but not there :sad2:

So the surgeon tells her they're going to remove the lung and she wakes up to a small bandage on her neck and one under her right arm-I guess he viewed the CT after she was under anesthesia(not the usual way to do things) and decided it was inoperative at that point-man this is like Stage III or IV Lung Cancer and it's in her lymph nodes already and in the other lung too-very bad prognosis-I hope she makes it to the 5yr point but the odds are so stacked against her(less than 5%) It just is a real bummer for her and her young daughter and Husband :sad1:

So she starts Chemo/radiation next week and we pray it shrinks it down enough that she can finally have surgery

Thanks for keeping LaDonna in your prayers-it's going to be tough to beat this and I pray she can make it :wizard:

I'll pop back on later-I have a bunch of things to do here at work-see you later :wave2:

don't know where Kayla is, but I'm up :)

I was woken up by G at about 2am...he was laying next to me shivering! I mean teeth chattering uncontrollably, shivering. I didn't quite know what was going on for the first 30 mins or so.

I just thought he was sleeping restlessly, but then I finally got woken up enough to turn the light on and try to make sense of it. I got him some medicine and then covered him up real good. He feels like he has a fever, but I didn't take his temp. I finally got him back to sleep around 3 and of course I can't go back. But I would have had to have gotten back up at 4:15 to get ready for work.

So, I'm going to be working on 3 1/2 hours of sleep today....... What's that saying again Kim? Sleep is Overated!!

That is the saying!!! Sorry to hear G wasn't feeling too good-sounds like a fever to me-we hate the shivers,it sends the fever up thru the roof!!!! But if he's resting comfortably now most likely it broke-watch out for ???Ear infections or something else brewing :wizard:
