Okay I FINALLY got ahold of someone
the brother who was driving the tractor
Gavin was not listening to his brother (typical 5 yr old)
somehow fell off the tractor and it ran over him
Crushing his Femur
it is broke and twisted
he is heavily medicated right now for pain
I don't know but am assuming that they had to or will have to operate on his leg
oh and to add to it Yesterday was his 5th birthday
What a way to celebrate

Oh Kayla-sorry to hear about your nephew-thanks for the update!
(please-anyone who owns a riding lawn mower-do not let your kids ride on them-or even play in the yard as your cutting the grass!!!it's even recommended by the Amer.Pediatric Assoc-that all young kids be inside during the time a lawn mower is in use-you can not imagine the horrors I've seen come thru the PICU-and it usually involves a child running up to a mower and slipping under it and losing a leg-arm or life!!! PLus they fall off and are run over too when riding-it's just not a good thing!!!) Sorry it's the RN coming out in me-I hate to see kids hurt when they don't have to be
