I'm taking the kids to the mall-it's a tax free weekend for all school supplies and clothes and computers and all sorts of school related items here in GA-so we are going to take advantage of it

That's what I thought!!! It's only 3 1/2 hrs from our house!!! Too bad you're going to be on vacation this weekend-But it sounds like a great plan

How far are you from Asheville?? If I remember correctly they have a pretty nice mall and maybe we could meet there for lunch and walk around the mall one of these days. Asheville's about 2-1/2 hours from me.

I know and I know i sound like a whiner

but when DH got hurt and went out with his back it really hit our savings hard
so if he is out for an extended time it is really gonna hurt

but it will be OK and in the long run he will feel better

Kayla - You're not a whiner at all!!!! Please don't ever feel that way around here! You know we're all here for each other. That's what friends are for!

I know what it's like to be out of work. I was several years ago and it took us years to recover. We're just now getting back on our feet. But you know you'll do what ever you have to do and move on. And as long as it helps him it's all worth it!
