I still haven't gotten a job yet, I can still make a move for ya! The way I feel right now I really would go! I need to get away from all this crazyness!!

......And-We just had some people come in for a 2nd look at our house they even bought a contractor-but looks like they went with the other house-They had 2 they liked-I really would like to sell this house before we have to move in July-but it's looking like it's never going to happen-I just don't get it-the house up the street from us-with no back yard and more expensive than ours-sold already and the new people are already moved in-WHY can't we have that happen!!! I'm really stressed about this!!!!!Our lot is great-on a golf course with woods and so quiet-but no one is coming in to even look at it-so I guess it will all work out in the end for all of us-it's just nerve racking til that end gets here

I'm stressing about this move too-DH just went to FT and when we move he has to go back to PT and wait for an opening AGIAN!!!! And we have to wait for his approval to transfer to ATL-and it hasn't happened yet-so I'm really nervous since this is a great job -one that DH can grow old doing-or til he decidedes to retire

Yikes! how many more years until he could retire? How long would it take to get FT again?

Yikes! how many more years until he could retire? How long would it take to get FT again?

well he's 45 now and he just bought back his military time 8yrs-so he could retire in what.....12+ yrs or wait til he's 65-67 and then retire-but it shouldn't take that long to get a FT position in ATL-it's a really big airport compared to Milwaukee-so we are hopeful it will happen within the 1st year or sooner

plus this type of work is a lot easier on his body than when he was a truck driver-and he really enjoys working with the public

Well, one year doesn't seem too bad Hopefully parttime and fulltime people get the same types of benefits like medical

For what it is worth here are my thoughts


Lyn I have read back all the post about your DH and the new Job possiblilitys

6 years ago my DH was a Well Drillers not glamourus I know but he really enjoyed it and so did I ( one of my Grandfathers was one so it brought back memeories) he made ok money but worked long hours and we didn't see him alot

well he was offered a job at the company we both work for now

It meant an Inital pay cut of almost 300 dollars a week
than after a few months when he got his own run he would make more

Let me tell you they were scary months

he switched in Jan and didn't get his rununtil May

the first 3 months Hurt and Hurt Bad
but we had friends and family who knew this was the right move and helped

Now we look back and KNOW he did the right thing

he is making more
home by 11 am almost everyday
has retiremment which he didn't before

but it was scary to take the leap

So the point to all my rambling is even if it is scary at first sometimes Job change is Good and one of the perks of My dh switching was after things settled I went part time so I was home with the kids more
which it sounds like you could maybe do

anyway whatever you decide know I understand
and we are all here for you

OK-I'm back-we have a gift shop not too far away-now to find time to go up there and buy it

And I'm bummed out too,Kayla-I figured that if they were going to buy ours we would of gotten an offer in on Monday-I just don't want to get my hopes up-so I figured they must of selected the other house

so now I just hope someone calls for another showing-a van drove by our house today turned around drove by and then drove all the way up the driveway lokked for a few minutes and then pulled out-so maybe we'll get a call for a showing???I hope

Thanks Kayla...I appreciate your thoughts. I know it will work out for the best...it is just so hard to decide what is the best. But my DH is so happy at the thought of this, I know it will be okay.... I am thinking that maybe 2 or 3 days of the week will be hectic...but, we still have the other days, weekends, holidays and vacation time...so hopefully it won't be so bad. And, next year DD will be in K and so both kids will be at the same school.
