yeah Hopefully a 2 hour nap won't kick my butt tonight!!

Hopefully your body need that nap and will be okay tonight.

Is the DIS running super slow today or is it just for me?

Lyn: You make sure that you set your sister straight!!! She better be stepping it up and taking care of mom!! That makes me so made when some people are so selfish :furious: If you need anything you know that the LTP sisters are here for you and we'll do whatever we can :goodvibes:

Update on Brandon:

I think he did ok today.. not as bad as other days, but not exactly great either. He got out of the car and walked down the hall.. of course that's where the brakes went on :earboy2:

I stayed in his room and helped for about 2 1/2 hours and will do the same Tues and Wed. When I left things seemed to be going well. He even raised his hand a few times to answer questions :goodvibes:

I have negleted the house and errands for a bit and today seemed so hectic. I have bene trying to pay bills, schedule apts, etc. and now it's almost time to go get the kids :cheer2:

DH told Brandon that we can go get DQ after school if he does good... I made sure we changed it to WHEN he does good :) so I get to get DQ today ::yes::

Yummy DQ. Lucky girl.

I hope Lyn checks in soon - I am wondering how her Mom is doing today.

Just popping by... will have to check back in later.

WHY IS THE SUN SO HOT!!! I feel like I melted on my walk today!

:confused3 Tracy - that is a good question. And the bad part is that is is still SPRING. What the heck are you and I going to do with Summer rolls around.

Well it is almost time for me to head for home.

Lyn - Hope everything is okay with your Mom.

I'm used to it already, I've lived in Houston all my life and you get used to the 100 degree summers really fast :rotfl:

hope everything is ok with Lyn's mom and dd too :grouphug:

Alright, everyone here knows that I like this guy at my school and if you didn't now you do. Today in the morning he came walking down the hall and started looking at me (not unusual) anyways... today at lunch my brother was in the hall and so was I and Adam came walking down the hall to where my brother was and it almost looked like my brother and him bumped int each other :O. I asked my brother about it later and he said he didn't know who the guy was... so that's a good thing that they don't know each other! I now just wish I could say something to him...

good morning everyone :wave2:

just a quick hello today... Brandon is starting off at Madison adn Travis' school today and we're all a little nervous here.

I need to finish getting everyone ready. A friend from work is going to watch Griffin for me so that I can be with Brandon. She is a young single mom who lives paycheck to paycheck so I want to make sure that I am paying her well, but not break my bank too :earboy2:

She's going to watch him for ~3.5 hours a day for 3 days.. do you think $50 is fair??
::yes:: I usually pay my sister around $20 a day, per child....which is the average rate (or slightly higher than average) here. She wants me to pay her less, but I think she is way worth it. If you have someone that you can trust w/ your child, I think you should pay her what you want to pay her..and I think $50 is generous for the amount of time he will be there :thumbsup2

:wave2: thanks everyone for the adivce and prayers...I read back, but it isn't so easy for me to talk to my Sis, I think it will make things worse...she wasn't always like this...but has become this way in the last several years :guilty: I don't want to continue to bore everyone...but the situation is that my Sis bought a vacant property next door to my parents, sold her house and moved in w/ my parents (with her DH and kids) and my family is building the house ourselves (my Dad retired from construction)...so, on the weekends when I go I cook for everyone and watch the kids (to give my Mom a break) and DH helps with the house. My sister hangs out w/ the guys outside or does small jobs....she doesn't help my Mom w/ the cleaning, etc. as I think she should (basically my Mom does everything, including their laundary working long hours 4 days a week and my sister works parttime...much less hours and less stressful job than my Mom). So, this weekend one of her girls was sick...stomach thing and asthma...and on Sunday, instead of taking care of her child or helping my Mom...she spent 4 hours looking at kitchen cabinents :furious: and left the girl with my DBil and Dad who were working on the house. There is more to it....but I am at my wits end with her. I told my DH to not help her is she called him....she has a DH and for one weekend they could stop work and take care of the family needs...her priorities are so screwed up right now....they are building a monster of a house...well over 5000 sf, very custom, I don't understand what the point is....her family doesn't get the attention they need, my Dad has since gotten high blood pressure (180+ over something I can't remember), my Mom is in the hospital....I feel like I am dealing with someone with an addiction..........

I checked on my Mom this morning before work...she was looking better, but her blood count dropped. I am hoping they will keep her in the hospital longer. I am going to skip lunch and leave work early to check on her....

Sorry for the long vent :grouphug:
