We're having boneless wings for dinner tonight, with mashed potatoes. And chicken nuggets for the kiddos who don't like the spicy stuff.

What are you having??
That sounds really good!! My mom bought us mexican food for dinner tonight. I'm having gorditas (fat girls for me :lmao: )they're sooooo good!!

Kathy Sorry to hear about Andrew! But at least he stood up for himself! I don't like when kids have to fight but at least he showed them he will defend himself if he has too! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone who said they liked my new avator, I found that picture online when I was looking for tattoos, I thought about getting that one for awhile. I still really like it so you never know I might end up with it forever :rotfl:

:wave2: I'm doing my math homework!

Problem: How does the distance change as the person moves?
Assumptions: The farther away from the clear zone, the larger the clear zone will be.
Method: Step 1: Setup: (1) Work in a space near a large smooth wall. A classroom chalkboard is ideal. The CBR must always be between 0.5m and 6.0m from the wall. Make sure there are no objects in the clear zone between the CBR and the wall.
(2)Connect the CBR to the calculator with the connecting cable. Make sure the connections are secure. (3) Turn on the calculator and press (pgrm) (4) Choose RANGER. (5) Press (enter) (enter) to display the main menu. (6) Make sure the cursor is beside start now. If it is not, use the arrow keys to move it. (7) Hold the calculator in one hand and the CBR in the other. Aim the sensor directly at the wall. Step 2: Collect and graph the data: (1) When you are ready to start press (enter). Follow the instructions on the screen. As you move toward the wall or away from the wall, the calculator displays a distance – time graph recording your distance to the wall. To make the calculator redraw the graph in a better position on the screen press (enter) than (1). (2) To repeat press (enter) than (3).
*Try moving toward the wall at a steady rate.
*Try moving away from the wall at a steady rate.
*Try moving more quickly or more slowly.
*Try different patterns of moving, including standing still.
Repeat until you are satisfied with the result. (3) Leave the graph on the screen while you complete the following exercises. Since the data for this graph are in your calculator, you can disconnect the cable so that someone else can use the CBR.
Observations: Graph for question #3(a) done on separate piece of graph paper attached.
Calculations: There were no calculations conducted in this investigation.
Discussion and conclusions:
1. (a) The physical quantity that is represented on the horizontal axis is time.
(b) The physical quantity that is represented on the vertical axis is distance.

2. (a) As you move towards the wall the distance increases. As you move away from the wall the distance decreases.
(b) As you move quickly the increase or decrease becomes steeper.
(c) As you stand still the line does not move.

3. (a) Graph done on separate piece of graph paper attached.
(b) Our screen represents that we neither moved away or toward the wall.

4. (a) The person was 2.499 m away from the wall when the calculator plotted the point under the flashing cursor.
(b) 0.65 seconds after the plotting started occurring.
(c) The person was moving away from the wall because the x axis representing time increased as time went by.
(d) The person moved away from the wall at a steady pace.

Please don't copy my homework it's wrong :sad2:

Great... just what I want to hear with 3 kids in school now!!

Don't worry. It doesn't happen that often. Andrew's had a rough year with stuff like that but Matthew hasn't had any problems!

yes, I said 3... Bran is starting tomorrow. We figured if it doesn't work out we can always hs again.

WOW! What a change for your family. And for you - only one at home! What grades are each of them in???

Lyn - I haven't had a chance to read back so I didn't know you were sick. Hope you're feeling better.
Thanks...I am feeling better today, not the best, but better...DH came home early saying he was tired and sick  great, now I have 3 kids to take care of....

I think he just wanted to be home with me...he doesn't look sick, no runny nose or anything :magnify:

Sorry about Andrew :grouphug: When my DS was getting picked on, DH told him it was o.k. to defend himself....he told him, shout "Stop IT!", then tell the teacher and if the boy is still picking on you (or you can't get to the teacher), it is o.k. to hit him back. So, DS forgets steps #1 and #2 and tells the teacher, "My dad said to hit him in the nose"
It is so hard to teach a 5 year old that it is wrong to fight, but that you can defend yourself so your not taking a licken' ...if anyone knows the best way to explain it, I am all ears :listen:

Alright Jake!!!! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!

At my high school somebody gets picked on oh watch out! It's a HUGE fight. There were 3 police cars going to my school today because people were fighting. It gets dangerous...trust me..

:lmao: Sorry! I know that's shouldn't be funny, but it made me laugh! :lmao: We have been really lucky with andie, she hasn't had any bully problems (yet! let's keep our fingers crossed!!) but since she took Karate, she's learned how to protect herself and she's learned selfcontrol, so she knows only to use it if she really has too

Thanks...me too :goodvibes The worst part of being sick is that horrible feeling that I am not taking care of my kids as well as I should :guilty: thankfully, my DH is great with them...and we have a lot a family around....but it is still a horrible, helpless feeling.

I don't think my kids realize it though...they still ask me to fetch them water (even though they can get it themselves) and last night I layed down and watched a movie with them all on me :goodvibes
