MRSA is becoming more and more common-and it responds usually well to IV antibiotic-just not oral ones
and the line you were talking about is a PICC line-Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter-usually placed in the arm(anticubital area)And it is used to administer Hi doses of antibiotics and you can draw blood from it if it's big enough-I hope they get one in him soon!!!
