MRSA is becoming more and more common-and it responds usually well to IV antibiotic-just not oral ones

and the line you were talking about is a PICC line-Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter-usually placed in the arm(anticubital area)And it is used to administer Hi doses of antibiotics and you can draw blood from it if it's big enough-I hope they get one in him soon!!!

Thank you Kim. I love when the Nurse in you comes out. It helps the rest of us understand what the heck is going on.


He is going back in for surgery today and they are going to do the ones on his legs and try to insert the PICC line again.
