Sorry Kim... all of our rain has stopped (thank goodness we haven't gotten the flooding) and it it HOT hot HOT here! T is NOT going to football tonight b/c it's 101 out right now.

hope the temps have dropped some for you. We are still waiting for the rivers to crest

We did-- next door not so much. The river was about two houses away from us, we did get some seepage(sp?) but no major water. (the river hasn't crest yet.. but I think it will be ok if we stay dry a few more days)

the electricity was out for two days, and the cable (internet) a little longer. but now everything in our area (except for the river) seems to be getting back to normal.

good morning everyone

man, this middle school schedule is killing me! I have gotten so spoiled with summer. I have to get T up at 6:30 b/c he has to be at the bus stop at 7:20.

Tomorrow is the first day of school and I'm still not sure I'm ready for it.

Hopefully I can be on more today. Yesterday I needed to clean up some for company last night. I have not even started to pack anything yet. I am going to get DH to watch the kids some on Monday (since he's off) so I can get somethings done instead of waiting on Tuesday.

Caleb goes in for surgery today and now they are telling us that it is MRSA which is the Superbug Staph Infection that doesn't reponse good to Antibotics.

They are hoping that the surgery will drain out and break down the infection and help with the healing process. Only time will tell.

you know, that kind of sounds like how it happended with G too. I read an article in RD awhile ago that sounds familiar. If you get a chance read it.

Poor kids.

It is very scary. Everything that I have read says that the normal person carries staph on their skin at times and only when it enters the blood stream do you have issues.

But the wide spread cases are getting to be a problem.

This part of the article is exactly what happened to Caleb. He had a dirt bike accident. And than could barely get in and out of the car without help and was telling his parents that his legs hurt so bad.
