WOW!! Now that would be SWEET!!!

Florida scratch off winner hits it big!

OCALA, Florida (AP)—Working at a convenience store proved more than convenient for a store clerk who won big in the Florida Lottery's scratch-off game Gold Rush.

Mark Walker gave his boss two weeks' notice after playing the scratch-off game Sunday night.

The 55-year-old won 500-thousand dollars and is the 15th top-prize winner in the game's history.

This isn't the first time he's been a scratch-off winner. Lottery officials say Walker has won 300 dollars on the Lucky Seven game and 25-hundred on a game called Hearts in the past.

He told lottery officials he plans to do a little investing and to travel with the money

Just another reason why us LTP sisters need to live closer together!

We could form our very own community. Gated from the outside world. So our children could play safely together.

Oh the life would could have. :cloud9:

I am so disappointed with Madison's brownies. Actually I am quite upset. I need to figure something else out to do with it.

They have a really big troop (over 20 girls) so back in Oct they split them up into two groups. Older/more experienced and younger/new Brownies. Madison was in the younger group b/c it is her first year.

Sooooooo...... This week her group was doing something where they had to wear old clothes that could get dirty. Ok... the leader sent an email after the meeting stating what they did and info on the next meeting... uh.. how come madison didn't come home with a flower pot she should have painted? :confused3 How come she came home with an invitation for a party that her group is hosting?? :confused3

So, I started asking Madison about the meeting. What did she do? What girls are in her troop?? She starts to list off all the girls in the older troop. I asked her do you always go with them? Yes. :confused3
So I emailed the leader and asked her what is going on. What troop IS she in??? She says that Madison is in her troop but that "Sometimes the girls
just stay with the wrong half of the troop. We haven't been very
tight about the rule since most of the time we work on similar
things. As we go into spring though it will be more important that
they are with the correct patrol. The older girls will be gearing all
of their projects towards getting ready to fly up to Juniors and the
Unique Unicorn Patrol will of course be working on lots of fun try-
its."

So... don't you have a list?? Don't you notice when one girl is in the wrong group?? Isn't that part of your responsibility to make sure all the girls are in the correct place?? So, that tells me that TWO adults (the one in the group she was in incorrectly, and the one in the group she should have been in) didn't care? Didn't notice?

This is the only homeschool troop anywhere near us (and it's 35 mins away) but I am really thinking of doing something different. I just don't know what! She really likes GS and has fun. But I am getting so :headache:  :headache: with it!

thanks for the vent I feel a little better now :goodvibes

Wow. I don't blame you for being upset. I would be also. That does seem a big odd that they don't notice Madison in the wrong group. Are they really watching the girls like the are supposed to?? That is too bad because like you said she really likes it. And she should be able to enjoy it not just get by.
:grouphug:
