It's a Linksys broadband routere with speed boaster. I have no idea why it won't work

You know you might have the same problem I did at first. Your modem needs to be changed by your service provider.

They told me to call the service provider and have them bridge my modem and turn of the dhcp.

I would call linksys and see what they say. They will probably run your right thru it.
