and someone stole her CC # during the transaction and racked up 12.000.00
in charges

Thank God she is not responsible but
she has been working with the cops in NY and Minnestosta (where this guy lived)

HE is only 22 what a waste of a future He is going to Jail

I can't believe these people honestly think they are going to get away with it. Hello everything you are buying is being tracked right back to you. And the more you spend the more you are going to get into trouble.

that is so scary. I always try to keep my visa limits not too high....just in case. I will call and ask for them to lower it when they automatically raise it $12000 is a huge amount...what did teh guy buy in a month? a car?

I had an ex-coworker that his wife had her identity stolen and one of the many things the lady purchased was a used call It was such a mess to clean it up and if I recall they had problems with the dealership....hello! didn't they check out this person before selling a car?????????????

Amazing what you can get away with today. I don't know why they don't add another secruity code to C.C.'s If you don't have the code you can't buy anything on line. Not just the number on the back of the card.

Lock it down and stop the bad guy from getting ahead.

We have had a one visa for years...one of DH's favorite hunting stores and he kept losing the card and wouldn't tell me so, about 3 loses ago, I told him that the "next time" I was getting a Disney Visa. He lost his card right before a business trip and the new cards didn't come in time

I can laugh now, but when he went to our local hardware store a MONTH LATER and they had our visa in their "lost and found" box...it wasn't very funny....of course, it took him two weeks to tell me it was lost and so all that time someone could have been charging
