slow day yesterday
only took a minute to read back

Well in the ever changing life Of ME
things have yet again cahnged so I am here for awhile today

hope someone shows up to talk to

We got NASTY ICE last night

I would actually prefer snow

DH left for work and I sat by the phone a nervouse wreck until he called to tell me he was safe

at the end of out road is a large Hill and it ends right into a main highway so
if you miss the stop sign you have no where to go and since the hill is all ice
this AM i was worried

but he made it

I will not be going out until it WARMS UP and melts the ice

hello and goodnight DH and I were up looking at myspace sites. My DSIL was telling us tonight about his cousin's site on there boy, am I naive. That place is nothing like the DIS I am staying here where it is safer

Glad your DH was safe in the ice....and I am not sure I want to know about bee kites somehow it doesn't sound like something I want to teach DS

and Bee Kites were fun
I'll tell you how I did them .....

I would take a peanut butter jar (empty and clean)
and go out in the yard and catch a bee

I would then put the jar in the freezer for a few minutes so the bee would go to sleep (not to long our they would freeze and die)

then I would take it out and tie a plong piece of sewing thread around where it's head met it's body

than lie it on a rock in the sun so it warmed up and woke up

it would than start buzzing around
and there I had a kite
and when i was done

I would just give the string a Yank and the poor bee would be decapitated

Okay so I was a strange sick child I was only around 8 or 10

didn't last long once Mom found out
she was NOT happy at all

maybe catch up a little on some sleep

My girls have a 2 hour delay because of all the Ice
but our local news station didn't report it so I woke them both up
then chnged the channel on TV and saw it

We are getting alot of Rain today
and it was freezing rain all night
so everything is a sheet of ice

Tonight is the memorial service up on the mountain
should be a fun drive by 7 when the temps drop again

and 4 wheel drive doesn't really help on ice

around here we just say 4 wheel drive becomes 4 wheel slide
