Oh I so know how that goes
we have had many years like that

I really hate it when people thnk Mom and I are just Auxillary memebers

UMM no we actually fight the fires to
My Mom is 1st assistant chief now and has been for a few years

Right now I am not active because we moved out of town but i kept a social membership so i can still help out at the functions and maybe someday if we move closer or they change the by laws get active again

I mean I only live 10 minutes from town
i can beat some in town members to the station
I know cause i have tried just to see

I remember you saying something about your mom but I don't remember you ever saying you used to be on the department too! Wow! Small world!

Except I haven't been on there nearly as much as I should be. I need to drop by there more often. I just posted and told slo to drop by here more often. She's really sweet, has two little girls and her DH is a firefighter. That's how we met.

My dad was a paid member in Scotia ( a nearby villiage)
that is where mom and dad met

My grandfather is the last surviving charter member of the dept my parents are in now

My Dad was Chief for years
than my cousin was for a few
My brother was in for a few years but he didn't stay

My cousin is a Vol in Scotia too and she is a Paid member at the fire dept at the airport here

My uncle was in for years too till he got hurt

Fire service is just in our Blood I guess

My mom goes to Montour Falls the fire academy alot
she was just there for the womens weekend

Well did you see the pic of Liz Lyn and Kelly??

and Tracy gave her notice and it was perfect
they were telling her she didn't get teh promotion and how she still had a future with the company
she let them say it all and than handed in her notice
