I did something like that with valley quails once..it was good, but a lot of work. Little birds don't have much meat on them . I told my DH that your DH was eating elk the other week...it started him on a whole (long) lecture about how healthy and wonderful elk is

the girls are dancing and yelling and seem to be having a good time

DH just pulled in so i will go see him and be back either later or in the morning but most likely later

I doubt the kids will sleep much which means neither will I

Lots of people around here hunt but it's just not us, especially since we don't like the meat. I can see hunting if you want the meat but I can't see it just for the "sport" of it.

We hunt to eat
but I agree i don't understand people who hunt just to hunt and throw away the meat

we eat everything we shoot
it we won't eat it we won't shoot it

well the exception of the coyote that was chasing the deer

Well we went from spending the evening together and getting something to eat after running to the store. To me eating a PB&J sitting in front of the computer.

yes my sis took dh to meet up with her dh at a tool show. so i have 4 little girls i am watching 2 6 yr olds and 2 4 yr olds....what a joy.....lol

ITA, that is why my DH won't hunt turkeys or pigs....

Don't you need a turkey for Thanksgiving??? Now we eat turkeys but it just doesn't seem worth all the work...hunting, killing, carrying home, showing it off, then getting rid of all those nasty feathers and then cooking it! One trip to the grocery store, one frozen turkey, sounds much easier to me!

of course not, my side of the family doesn't like deer either which is fine...DH and his friends love it so I usually make it for them or for just DH, the kids and I. Now, if you said you didn't like me, I might be offended
