can you wash it in downy (sp?) or something to make it soft/less itchy? that would drive me nuts.....if I wasn't already nuts.

First off, I would be as upset as you and it would take a lot for me to not try and slap the teachers and the 8th grader...but just to play the other side, if you don't want to meet with them and he is leaving soon, why bother with the letter? Is it so that he is safe in school for the time being? Do you think they should change their rules or enforce their policy better? Did you just want to bring this to their attention, maybe apologize to DS or listen to the kids better? Sorry, I understand you are angry, and I would be too, but with this line I don't understand your intent

she asked about a meeeting on the note... that is why I broght it up..
