Last night I went to see Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Edinburgh playhouse. My sister (Thumper Thistle) got me tickets for my birthday. What an adventure it was
We left at 4.30pm (show due to start at 7.30pm) so we could go for something to eat first. We had directions to get to the playhouse because we never go to Edinburgh. We got lost!!! When we arrived in Perth we figured we had taken the wrong road. Tricia says she knew it was basically a straight road, unfortunately we never got on the M9 which is the road to Edinburgh for it to be straight
Once in Perth we turn around and head back to Stirling to get on the right road, on our way back a stone jumps up from the road and hits the windscreen leaving a beautiful 6 inch crack
Once we finally reached Edinburgh we managed to get all confused with the directions and finished up abandoning them and following the signs, we eventually found the Playhouse after we had been down a street that was for buses only
By the time we were parked it was 6.40pm so we had to have a quick bite to eat in McDonalds and then head back down to the Playhouse.
The show was absolutely amazing, totally worth all the stress of getting there. If you haven't seen it and you get the chance I would highly recommend it
Managed to find our way home although we did drive round in circles for 10 minutes, passed Murrayfield (home of Scottish rugby) and Edinburgh Zoo, didn't pass them on way there.
Arrived home at 11.45pm. Journey home took 1 hour 15 minutes compared to 2 hours 10 minutes to get there
