Last minute weekend trip, yep we're crazy!

It's officially confirmed that DH and I are crazy. We just booked airfare to fly down to WDW Friday afternoon 12/6 and fly home Monday 12/9 just to see everything Christmas. In 15 years we've never been able to go for Christmas since DH works retail and can't schedule vacation from October 30th through January 30th.

BUT, over the weekend I found $52 each way airfare on Allegiant, he begged his boss and was able to finagle his days getting Friday & Saturday off one week and Sunday & Monday off the next for a 4 day weekend. No DVC resorts available for all 3 nights, but we waitlisted and have a friend in Celebration who offered us her spare room for the weekend if nothing comes through.

What a whirlwind this is going to be!! We woke up this morning, looked at each other, and squealed, "We're going to Disney in less than a month!!"

Awesome! I have a possible work trip coming up to Pensacola, and I'm trying to figure out if I can make a side trip to Disney that same weekend for the same reason!

We're doing the same thing - down on 12/20 and back on 12/22 to catch the decorations. Just made the reservations this weekend. Love going to see the decorations but never seem to commit to the trip til the last minute!

I have done worse , maybe better than that . Me and my DD drove from NC on a Friday afternoon to Disney park hoped all day Saturday and then drove back home on that Sunday . IT was a blast of a good time .

Thanks everyone, I'm glad we aren't the only ones!!

We definitely want to see the Osborne lights, the Jingle Jungle cruise, and the Santas in Epcot. Other than that we're going to wing it. I believe the Christmas Day parade taping is also that weekend, how cool!!

We are doing the same thing but leaving this Saturday. We didn't have a room either but I just kept checking the website and now we are staying 2 nights at Kidani and 2 nights at BLT. I can't wait!!!

I just have to say that the picture of you puppy reminds me of my dalmatian when he was a puppy. Where did you get yours? They could be twins

Our puppy is a big monster of 8 now (I just love his puppy pics). He came from a breeder in Warrenton, VA.

Does Allegiant fly to MCO from your place ? If I take it from Vermont, it fly to Sanford... No ME in and out, not convenient for us....

Nope, we're flying from Hagerstown, MD and it's into Sanford. Typically that might be a dealbreaker, but since we're most likely staying in Celebration this trip we'll need a rental car anyway. And Alamo sent me a free day coupon for my birthday so the rental was only $64.
