What do I need to know for a last minute trip? We have one adult 5 day park hopper pass that hasn't been used. We need passes for another adult and a child. We will most likely be spending 7 days at the parks and are looking into upgrading to annual passes when we get there. Do I have time to get magic bands sent to me, or will we just get them when we check in? Or can I order tickets from UT (or cheapest place?) and link them to bands that we already have?

I agree, we need a bit more info. How last minute is this?

If its still a couple of months away, you still have time for your magic bands to arrive, otherwise you will get them at your resort. But that doesnt mean anything if you don't have tickets purchased. And you need to set up an MDE account if you haven't already done so. Fps are tied to your account, not the MBs.

If you buy them from Disney and opt for will call, the tickets will automatically link to your MDE account. If you order from UT, you have to wait for them to arrive and manually input the tickets into your account, just as you will need to do for the existing ticket.

Only then can you make your FP bookings, and only for the number of days you have tickets for.

I'm getting ready to leave right now(230 am) for a last minute trip my sister and I decided to take 5 days ago. We made our hotel reservations, I hav e an AP voucher, bought her military ticket, linked it to MDE, made FP reservations and we both got reasonable airfare, since we had some airline points to work with. Not much else you need to do except pack and enjoy!

Wish Rapid Rover (our local airport shuttle) would hurry up and get here! I couldn't ask anyone to take me to the airport at this hour lol.

We leave in a few weeks. And we went ahead and bought tickets from UT. The tickets will arrive about a week before we head out. We bought the buy 3 days get the 4th day free passes from UT since that had the biggest savings and then we'll upgrade them once we activate the tickets our first day. We have a few dining reservations made, so I'm not worried about that. I just don't want to be stuck without any good FP+ options.

You should have plenty of options this time of year. We were able to change some of our fast pass times last year in April on the DAY OF.OUR VISIT... in the afternoon.

To clarify - you will have to wait for your tickets to arrive in order to make your FP selections. Get your MDE account set up and link those ADRs for dining into the account. Then you can link the tickets when they arrive. The system won't let you select FP without a valid ticket associated with your name. FP selections for the extra days you add after arrival will have to wait until you upgrade.

Meanwhile - choose which park you will go to on which days and do some studying on the FP system. Understand how to prioritize the rides, the tiering system, and what sells out first. This will allow you to make an educated touring plan for getting the shortest wait for what will most surely be a few most-do rides that it's too late for FP (7DMT, A&E, Soarin, etc).
