I'm so excited:bounce:

My daughter is being sent to Disney to make a presentation and is taking me with her!!!!! I was taking her for her 1st visit the last week of January. I told her no way can she go without me. I want to be the one to see her reaction the first time she sees the castle. We could never afford to take her when she was a child so I was heartbroken to think she would take her first trip alone.

If it wasn't for her generousity, we wouldn't be DVC members. She took on half the cost of BCV as a thank you for being her parents. Now I will get to show her what someday will be hers!!

Does anyone know where Disney puts you up when you are called in for a presentation?

Hope I didn't break any board rules by posting this here:confused: If I did, I'm sorry. But still EXCITED!!

Congratulations!!!

I can imagine how excited you are. I think it's very sweet she wants her Mom to be there.

How exciting for you to get a WDW trip! Is your daughter making a presentation to the Disney Company or presentation to a conference (being held at WDW by another company) at Disney? If it's a conference, they should have a "main" hotel they are using for guests. If it's for Disney, it's hard to say where they'll have her stay. Most likely a deluxe resort and my money would be on AKL or BC.

PamOKW,
They are 1/2 hour benefit presentations with Q&A for all Disney employees that will run for a week. She hasn't received her itinerary yet. All she knows is that Disney is putting her up and she can bring a guest. (ME!):bounce:

My guess is that it will not be held in one of the resorts if the CM's are going to be coming and going all week.

My guess was wrong! Disney is putting us up in the Contemporary, so I'm assuming that's where the presentations will be held. Cool:cool:

It's not my kind of resort, but it will give us a chance to stay somewhere I would never pay for. Not that I'm complaining, definitely not! I think it's wonderful, plus being on the monorail line is a definite bonus. I'm so excited :bounce: and my DD is like, 'whatever'. I'm hoping she 'gets it' and comes away dreaming of our next trip in January.

I said that about the Contemporary until a few weeks ago when I stayed with a friend. I actually loved it! This is a photo of what we got to look at, from our balcony, while sipping our morning coffee.

wdwsos,
Ah, great way to wake up in the world. We had a similar view at WL. We were extremely lucky to get a room in the bear's face, smack dab in the middle of the inner courtyard 5th floor. It was truely magical.

Since Disney is paying for it, I'm sure we won't be in one of the better areas with a great view like you. Lol, I told my DD to tell her supervisor to book her into a tower room. Yeah, like that's gonna happen.;) I'll be perfectly happy in a broom closet with a potty.:)
