Hello-
I am planning an unexpected Disney trip after Thanksgiving. We will be driving down (about 5 hours away) on November 29th and leaving on December 4th. It will be my husband and I and our 18 month old. We have been to Disneyland many times, twice since our little guy was born, but haven't been since Galaxy's Edge opened. We usually stay at Park Vue Inn, but I'm considering the package through Costco that would have us staying at the Sheraton. Any thoughts on that? Anything I should know about Galaxy's Edge? I used to follow these forums closely, but didn't think we would be making another trip anytime soon and so I was avoiding all Disney info and now I feel completely out of the loop. Thank you for any tips or ideas, I want to make the most out of this trip, don't think we will be going again for another couple of years.

You need reservations for Oga’s cantina. It’s loud. I wouldn’t take my baby but you might be fine with it. Fuzzy tauntaun was great.

You also need reservations for the light saber building ($200) and droid building ($100) experiences.

Sheraton sounds good with a baby to me. Might compare prices at getaway today. Or book individually. No need for a package.

Most say to ride later In the day when there are 30 min Wait. I never saw it get down that low last Friday. But it was Thursday mid morning. Single rider is also great. Did standby once and sr 2x

Here is the superthread for SWGE: New SWGE Superthread! Now Open to All! (6/24/2019). Skim through the last 10-15 pages for updated information, then ask any questions at the end of that thread. You'll get great help there! It can get crowded in SWGE first thing in the morning (check the app for wait times for MFSR to get an idea of crowds), so waiting until later in the day to visit can be a good idea. We like SWGE in the evening and at night -- it can get very warm there on sunny days -- but whenever you see the wait time for the ride dip below 40 minutes can be a good time to drop by. CS in SWGE is good and Mobile Ordering via the app saves lots of time. The Ronto Wrap is delicious! If you want to visit the Cantina, make a reservation online or on the app.
We really like the Sheraton Park (one of our go-to hotels at DLR) and stay there often. We enjoy the walk (goes right by the 24/7 CVS, 7-11, and the A Mart -- in case you need snacks, drinks, light groceries, or sundries) to/from the parks -- about 15-20 minutes at an easy pace. If you prefer to take the TS shuttles, you'll see lots of guests walking to that lot from the Sheraton.

You might want to time your rider swap for Smugglers Run during a stroller nap if you can or just do single rider at different times. There's really nothing to do in Galaxy's Edge with a toddler. With my family, the CM gave us some pixie dust and let our first group immediately in the fp return line when we asked for rider swap, but it was still a pretty significant wait for our little one. I'm thinking about 20 plus minutes a group × 2. So it would be even more time if you have to wait the length of the line for the first group on top of that.
Oga's you will probably have to hold the baby the whole time unless you luck out and get a booth so if you have a soft carrier it might be a good idea to bring it.
