Ok so my little bro is graduating from the Army Aug 15th. Of course we are going down there to see the ceremonies. Me being the disney lover that I am realize it is only about a 6 hour drive to DISNEY. :woohoo: Oh well we have to do this. My options are:

GF CL - $4400
WL CL - $3100
Poly GV - $2900

Now I am a huge fan of the monorail because we have 3 DS's under 5. And was thinking maybe the CL since it is so late in the game with ADR's, they can see more of what is available since I know this will be an issue. We have only stayed at the Poly out of these 3 so I know little about the other 2. Please help me. Also what is the weather like then??? I am a little concerned about this. ANy input is greatly appreciated.

Poly

GF is not for little kids, IMHO

You have to be quiet in the lobby

Poly is really nice, has a great dinner show, and is obviously the cheapest of your 3 options

I was leaning towards Poly but I was worried about the ADR's since the trip is so last minute. I know that CL they watch for what you want and help with those things. The Poly is our favorite though!!!! Thanks guys!

I think any of the 3 would be amazing. If you love the Polynesian but want to try something different, why not go for it? If it's in your budget I would certainly consider the WL or GF club levels. It would be amazing. 3 little boys would probably be in heaven at the WL and you could take the boat back and forth to MK :thumbsup2
GF club level would be fantastic and I have to disagree that it is not for children or that you have to be "quiet" in the lobby. No one else seems to be! It's Disney World, after all. Nice manners don't necessarily require quiet ;) Your boys would love it there - and so would you!
On the other hand, I adore the Polynesian and it would certainly be great for a family with young children, as you know :dance3:
Have fun, whatever you decide.

We love WL, but I choose Poly. the room size will be a big plus for your family. since you have a car you can stop & buy some food-snacks.

GF not kids friendly? Have to be quiet in the lobby? :rotfl: Last we were there the lobby was full of screaming kids :lmao:

My vote is either the Poly of the WL Club level. Though he will be pamper with club level which after he get his assigment his living quaters will be less than great lol

Wow lots of Poly votes. I think we will go with the Poly. I am a little concerned about the boats at WL. Are they big?? Can you roll stollers onto them? We do spend most of our time at the MK. Does anyone have any advice on the weather????

Living qurters may not be so nice. but don't feel to bad for him he is off to Hawaii. I guess if I could be stationed anywhere I would pick there!!!

I'm late, but I voted Poly as well. We'll be there the same time and have had no problems with ADR's :)

Fingers crossed for you too.. God Bless your brother (and you for treating him to a nice little vacation before he heads off to Hawaii...and since the Poly is old Hawaii, he won't be seeing too much of the same when he arrives on the real island;) ) ::yes::

I'd have to guess that you've never set foot in the GF lobby. :) It's anything but quiet, and it's always full of kids, who are quite welcome there. It's a huge, bustling space. Not to mention the band that plays on the balcony, at full volume, several times during the day.

The GF is VERY child-friendly, and has lots of activities for the little ones.

if you can't get ADR at the parks - remember the hotels restuarants - bet you find something.

We have visited Disney many times in August. It will be warm and humid but not any more than our home in NJ. I advise you to get the disposable ponchos because it will most iikely rain every day around 4 pm. It is welcomed because that cools it down for the evening. We purchased the spray fan bottles and used them daily. Make sure you pack lots of sunscreen especially for your little guys. Florida sun is intense. We love the Poly so I hope you stay there. but any of your choices are great. Have a great trip. :goodvibes

If you already stayed at the Poly I would say give the WL a try. We'll be there in 20 days!

Well that is good to know since we are in MI. We went for our honeymoon 10 years ago in August and to be honest I don't remember it. Guess it couldn't have been that bad then. We have those fans as well as clip on fans for the strollers. And to the pp about the resort restaruants I think I will try. Thanks!!

I would vote Contemporary, or Poly. You will want to be on the monorail. Be warned that you are going during Free Dining so there may be very limited ADR's available. It is hot in August, but that is why they have pools.
Have fun on your trip!

Really? When I went in, it was completely silent except for the second story band :confused3
