Last minute trip-no value resorts

Maybe someone here has a suggestion. I just found out we have the opportunity to visit WDW first week in April due to DH's work schedule. Called twice to book a value resort--nothing available. Anyone cancelling? Should I give up and book offsite?

Hi,

I have a few ideas:

1) Are your dates at all flexible? If you move your trip up a day or back a day there may be openings.

2) Have you tried booking on the WDW website?

3) Have you tried other online sources like expedia.com and orbitz.com?

4) Have you tried a travel agent?

Tried #1-3. I was thinking of contacting a TA, but do they not have the same availability? Oh well, it's worth a shot! Thank you.

Try the DTD hotels...they are very nice and affordable

I believe TA's have their own block of rooms from which they book. So you may get availability with a TA. It's worth a shot to try.

I just booked April 12-16 with a AAA rate at Pop Century. All Star Movies was also open. I had tried three other dates with nothing available. We did have four range of dates and this one was the only one that worked out.

I would try expedia, travelocity, southwest airlines.

I would suggest keep trying I booked for 26th april with dreams unlimited for 2 weeks but then wanted to extend by one day starting at 25th they did not have any rooms free on value reorts fr that date, i then went on disney uk website and they had one weird, could you poss book through / search uk site as american site could not do 25th uk site did, just a thought good luck with your searching.

ps just checked uk website for 1st april 1 week 2 value resorts to pick from 8th april 1 week 1 value resort to pick from hope this is of some use.

Call as soon as the call center opens in the morning at 7:00 EST that is when the cancellations for the previous day are put back into the system.

I did this last year for a last minute trip. I called on a Friday about 1pm and there were no values available, called at 7am the next morning and got AS Movies.

It's a hassle, but it may work to go to two different Disney resorts. It's another option to get your dates.

You may want to try more than one travel agent as well. I helped a friend find a hotel for a last minute Christmas trip. We were finding only a few deluxe resorts online, 1 travel agent found the same things and a different one came back with a quote on a moderate, so just keep trying. I would just keep calling every day, we have done this in the past before also.

I just looked earlier and *** has a room, but that was it. Keep trying... someone is cancelling. I already have a room, but was checking to see if I could change it... not a chance!!!
