Hi everyone! I decided pretty last minute (by Disney standards) to book a trip for my DBF and I. We are going August 5-10. Am I out of luck on getting ANY ADRs for in park dining? :confused3 This is our first "adult trip" and I want to plan 1 or 2 TS meals to make it special.
We are on a pretty tight budget, so we're looking at going for lunch instead of dinner. Does this make a difference price wise? I have looked at Teppanyaki, but I hear it will still be closed during our stay. Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks

You should be fine, just have a couple of resaurants in mind for each meal in case you can't get your first choice. We're also going in Aug (6th-9th) and just booked a couple of weeks ago. I had no problem getting ADRs and I got everything I wanted too. Good luck!

I think you're fine, especially if you do your TS stops at lunch. For both lunch and dinner, the earlier, the better. Hot tickets like Le Cellier or Coral Reef might not be possible, but I'll just bet you can do fine otherwise.

My experience has been fine making ADR's IF I have a list ready with my first and second choices for each day AND am flexible about times. Sometimes I think the folks that report problems making ADR's must call and ask for prime time seatings for a meal for the next week and seem surprised (AND miffed) they can't be accomodated:goodvibes

You should be OK. My trip is Aug. 15-24 and I've changed some of mine for groups of 11 and 9 with no problem just weeks ago. Since the free dining for the general public does not start until Aug. 26th, it's not having any big effect on earlier dining for August. You do have to compete with the bounce back folks and the UK folks who booked last year, but so far, I've not had any problems.

I wouldn't count on getting ADRs, but you never know. As a PP said, have more than one choice and be flexible with the times. Twice, during "slow" seasons last year were were not able to get ANYTHING 30 days out. But you never know until you try!

I'm going last minute (Aug. 1-6), and I just booked all of my first choices, most for dinner. Including a Rose and Crown dinner that's perfect for Illuminations and a Le Cellier lunch.

Just call, tell them what you're interested in, and try to be flexible with times.

Most of our trips are all last minute and we are able to get into Le Cellier for lunch, Beirgarten, Cape May for breakfast and dinner, CP for breakfast and dinner, Kona for breakfast, House of Blues and Spoodles for breakfast

If you are flexible with your times you should be able to get something

Even in the midst of "Dining plan panic" on the Dis boards over the past year, I have WALKED into the following

Rose & Crown (late lunch)
Marrekessh (Dinner)
Raglan Road (Dinner)
Chefs de France (Lunch)
Jiko (Dinner)
I am sure there were more places I don't really keep track.

I don't even try LeCellier anymore.... I plan to the CP there, but if it's not better then last years that may be about it IMHO Jiko was SO much nicer and priced about the same.
