Last Minute Travel

OK, this (and comments like it that I've read from other people) have me confused. Do they wait and send you the vouchers shortly before the "arrival" date you tell them? If I ordre now for a trip in November, am I not going to get the vouchers until shortly before our trip?

It used to be that they would wait and send the voucher right before the trip. Now it is issued fairly quickly after ordering. The voucher will say that it expires in "60 days". When I called customer service to panic about this (as I ordered in June for my November trip), they told me that it is 60 days from the date entered for the trip to begin. I believe the requesting of your travel dates also helps to ensure that you are not purchasing a promo deal that will have ended before you actually take your trip.

I had the same panic, and I emailed them my concern. They confirmed what PP says via email within an hour.

I especially like that the tickets are refundable as long as they are not redeemed at the gate.

And these are actually Par HOPPER tickets correct? I'm concerned that in the detail on LMT's website it says you can use the tickets to go into Disneyland OR Disney's CA Adventure. The word "OR" makes it sound like the "On-Park-Per-Day" tickets and not the Park Hopper tickets.

Yes, I ordered Park hoppers. I only got 3 day ones so I can't answer the questions re: upgrading to longer days.

I just bought a 2 Day Base Ticket but the Description section in the email confirmation (which I got right away) said
"Inclusion
1 - day admission to either Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park.
Magic Morning admission included with 3, 4 and 5 Day Park Hopper Pass".

Actually, the description for all kinds of tickets says the same. Is this a mistake? Called the customer sevice but they couldn't answer, wanted me to call them back again tomorrow.
I haven't seen the voucher yet. Will the voucher be more specific like "2 day ticket one park per day'?

The 3+ day tickets are most certainly parkhoppers. My voucher says, in big letters, "Disneyland Resort 4-Day Park Hopper Bonus with Magic Morning". I don't know what the 2 day vouchers will say. The website just has a generic description for all of the tickets, which is not completely accurate. They also state that ages 3 and under are free of charge, which isn't true either.

They really got good prices for tickets, but they only offer up to 5 day hopper. I kind of need 6 day, would it be possible to extend it while in DLR?

Yes, you can upgrade at the gate as long as you do it before your 5th day at the park is over. Here's the kicker though......you will be charged the difference between price paid for the 5 day and the GATE price for a 6 day. This negates any discount you received on the 5 day.

For a 6 day ticket go with getawaytoday.com. That is exactly what we did last year when the kids and I needed 6 days and DH only needed 5. We had great experiences with both companies.

I can no longer find Disneyland tickets on LMT. I click on Activities, and search in Anaheim, and Disneyland tickets do not come up. Are they still being sold on LMT?

Holy cow! I checked this out and you are right! Hmmm.....I will have to email them and see what's up. I still have one more ticket to buy for my dad, who is now joining us in Nov.

Yeah, they show Disneyland Character Dining, but not theme park tickets. Hmmmm............

Wow- I am so glad I bought my 3 day hoppers last Saturday!!! I had the ticket page bookmarked and now the tickets are not coming up!!! :confused3

Interesting how LMT stopped selling these right at the end of the month. Makes me wonder if the tickets they were selling were the ones that were only valid thru 10/1/11...similar to the Special Offer prices Disneyland had on their website until yesterday.

That would make LMT's incredible price a bit more understandable. It seems difficult to believe their price (I think it was around $187 for a 4 day park hopper) could be that much cheaper than what Disneyland was offering for the same thing if they were the tickets that were valid thru the end of 2012 (which DL was selling for $234).

The $187 prices was what they were selling them for before the price increase in June. My guess is that they continued to sell their old stock at the previous prices until they ran out. Getawaytoday did the same thing. but they ran out a lot quicker than LastMinuteTravel did. I believe those tickets are good until the end of 2011, or thereabouts.

They ran out :(. We were able to get our tickets on Tues for most of our party (we are leaving this Friday) and when the other two people going with us went on the site on Wed, they were gone. We called and apparently, they (LMT) need to renegotiate the agreement they have with Disney before they offer more tickets at the discounted rate. At least that is the story we got...

Glad we got ours though, before it was too late!

I'm glad you did, too! When getawaytoday ran out, it was a few weeks before they had new tickets up. LMT may be the same way.

We are going in November, so hopefully they'll be back up by then. Kind of ironic that "last minute" travel ran out of tickets at the last minute.

Whew! So glad we were able to get ours. We purchased 5 day hoppers for our family of 6 so quite a savings. On our last day we decided to extend our trip and were able to upgrade to 6 day hoppers for only $5adults/$4 for kids. Nice! It took forever at the ticket booth to do this but worth $28 for an entire other day!
