Last-minute ticket purchase

If I buy a park hopper online today through the Disney website, will I get a ticket code automatically via email so that I can add the ticket to our MDE account & start reserving FP+? We will be there this weekend so I'm trying to see if I can avoid the dreaded Guest services/ticket counter line at the parks.

Yes and no. I just did this. I bought my ticket online for this weekend and was mailed the code to get FPs/ADRs immediately. However, unless you have an existing magic band to which you can attach your tickets, you are going to need to go to Will Call/ticket counter/guest services to get a hard ticket to enter the park. There was an option for the tickets to be mailed, but I was going to back home by then!

You can purchase tickets from within your MDE account and the tickets will automatically be linked to your MDE account. You can immediately begin booking FPs.

Great, these answers are very helpful. We already have MagicBands through our resort reservation, so it looks like I'll be all set to book the tickets. Very unusual for me to be buying tickets so last minute; thanks so much for the help!
