On a whim, we just bought SeaWorld tickets from UCT yesterday. We want to pack up the van and head down to Orlando on Wednesday, April 3rd. Check in to hotel.

Then we will go to Sea World on Thursday, April 4th. Return to hotel at closing and get a good sleep.

Head back home Friday, April 5th.

This is a 9 hour ride for us, but we are pumped up to do it. We have never done Sea World. We never want to leave WDW property:rotfl: So, we are excited.

My question: Should we go earlier? Say, the day after Easter? Will the crowds be better then? Or, do you think the crowds will thin as the week goes on? Technically, we can go to Seaworld any day between Saturday, March 30th and Thursday, April 4th.

Though I am no expert, I am wondering.....have you selected your hotel yet?

If not, it might be worth considering one of the official hotels of SeaWorld (you can find them listed here on this map: http://seaworldparks.com/buschgarde...cation Packaging/SWpartnerhotelsNEW.pdf?pos=4) as they will give your family free Quick Queue passes. QQ can be life savers in the event that crowds are heavier than you predict.

Just thought I'd toss that out there in case your accomodations are yet to be secured. SW has lots of different onsite options at various price points, from the very affordable Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Residence Inn (which all will also include free breakfast daily) to the more upscale Rennaissance, Hilton Grand Vacations, and Doubletree. There is also a Hilton Garden Inn as well.

Like the PP said I would have a hotel booked and ready before deciding to just drive down stay some where. I think later in the week would be good but everyones spring break is different and the park is open late that week too.

We did the plan of just drive up check in and stay a few days and go to SW. Ha took us 3 hrs going from hotel to hotel til we found one that had a room. That was new yrs weekend.

I would stay for 2 nights (even if you have to pick a cheaper hotel), since I think seaworld now gives the 2nd day free with a one day ticket. Why rush everything in in one day. Check out AAA rate at hotels, if you have it. Good luck.

Because many schools have the week off before and after Easter, I would think any day would be crowded. I would pick later in the week rather than closer to Easter. And make sure you use the free quick que from the Expedia desk in your hotel. It's great to have if you like the rides.
