Last-minute ressie, what are my odds?

I just decided to use the time the DH will be away on a business trip for a possible trip "home" to WDW with my DD and DS.

What are the odds of our snagging a studio for Aug. 21 - Aug. 25?

It's driving me nuts that I thought of this last night and Member Services won't be open until Monday.

Biting my nails and biding my time until then...

As long as your open to any resort, I think your chances are good. I did the same in June. I booked 3 weeks before our trip and was able to get a studio. Here's some pixie dust for luck...

I think your chances are good. Some schools are back in session, and so probably there are fewer potential DVC'ers making ressies. Pixie Dust!

At the 7 day mark Waitlist disappears.. and u must call every day ..

u will get something we usually get Boardwalk..

that is were we like to stay ..

Key west always seems to have something and Wilderness
lodge would be the one that always seems to have some rooms ..

Yes we have had to stay in 2 locations but So What..

if Castmember just looks at computer it may say sorry ...
no rooms .. at the 7 day mark if cast member does not offer ask them to call the resort directly to check...
most CM's does this but some just look at the computer and say Sorry....

Thanks for the advice and pixie dust. I will call first thing tomorrow morning and if no luck, will call every single day the week before. I hadn't thought of that, so thanks, Hygiene99.

Now how to keep this a secret from my 4-year-old DD? DS is oblivious (only 15 mos. old), but DD was wondering why I was checking out the Walt Disney World website late last night. No point in saying anything and risking disappointment, but I am about to burst! Oh well, only 24 hours left, if I'm lucky.
